    Another reminder....

I don't IMPORT for this SIM. Don't bother exporting. Don't bother making FA offers in your version of the game. It'll be a waste of time.

LF Mel Woodbury becomes a free-agent.
The day I hoped would never come.

Although, it will be quickly eclipsed by the:

Mel Woodbury has signed a 2 year - $47.6 contract with the Pawtucket Patriots

Which will quickly be eclipsed by Woodbury batting .240 and hitting a total of 12 HR in two years while spending over half the time on the disabled list.

Lost in the tumultuous off season was the fact that quietly Vernon "Old Blue" Simmonds retired a Playboy. Simmonds made one appearance in 1996 and pitched 1 scoreless inning before hanging them up for the last time. And even though his player history is erased we'll never forget what he meant to us. The next time we'll see the greatest closer in BLB history is his HOF speech. .....You're my boy Blue!

We can recover their history (or at least I think we can). As you guys come across recently retired guys who lost their history, PM me their Player ID's please.

The Off-Season Center is pretty cool. Should be easy to track once we get into FA.

Another interesting thing I found fiddling around in my team. Player contract demands on extensions have a little new life. Only once have I had a player accept an extension before their final season. Now it seems more common for them to chat two years out. I was looking at Pancho, who is locked up through 98 is already ready to talk new deal. In addition, there seems to be no real governor on demand. His 1st propsal is a 9 year extension. I've never seen a player ask for more than 5 before. Someone wants to be a Colonial for life.
