Don't know the formula, but it's OOTP so there is one. I'm sure it has to do with stats, years of service, etc.

I sometimes just go with the Team recommended offer. If you go too low you pretty much guarantee that the player is going to win.

You can go lower but you better be damn sure the player is worth lower.

The player is going to ask for more than the recommended number. Not millions more, but more.

If your number is too low, the player will win because the arbiter will believe you are undervaluing the player.

If you're closer to accurate value then you're more likely to convince the arbiter.

Keep in mind sometimes going over the team recommendation can also be a win.

It's a gamble. It may take a few arbitrations to get the hang of it.

I also withdraw on some guys if I don't want to pay arb money. I'll take the risk and try to bring them back in fa.

I made some 40 man roster changes I don't like. I was going to import the exported file and fix them....but I guess we can't anymore?

                      12 sucks.

I've never heard of that feature. I don't know why you wouldn't have to get a clean league file.

I've always done this as well. Export, make a change you want to undo (contract offer you second guess, etc), reimport your export. Otherwise if you download the league file you start from scratch.

It's probably a setting, actually. It was in 11.
