Glen Jones gets a lot of $ for a guy who has a career 1.55 WHIP. He does get it done somehow, though.

I just had that with Raul Zamaro. Is your guy still injured? If he is not that means you need to create room on your man roster.

In my case, I have this crazy Joe Soriano guy that continues to haunt my 40 man roster.

Interesting. I could do this in 10, but could never get it to work in 11.

I always got a message telling me I had the most up-to-date import.

I had to download the league file from the owner's forum instead.

It wasn't the last owner; it was the owner previous.

The last owner actually won a championship with Wilmington. Then he left. Another guy took over. Did horribly with the team. The original owner came back and tried to fix the mess that was left. He dropped. You arrived.

You're now the second owner trying to fix that short-lived owner's mess.

You just need to rebuild completely. Consider it a project of fixing the little things. Good time to manage the minors, scour free agency for fringe players that can help the ballclub or fill out the minors. Consider every signing's worth.

edit: Also, I know people have said this to you, and you've said you are trying to, but you don't really have any popular players on your roster. I count one Extremely Popular and one Popular in your entire organization. That's not going to get it done if you're trying to build interest.

Guys who were on the 60 day DL and are still injured can be left on.

                Wait...what?

You can export as many times as you want. I'm still doing that in 12. I've never had a problem with later export moves not showing up.

If a move is permanent (guy off DL) then I will just quit out of OOTP with CTRL-Alt-Del so it doesn't save and I'm good to go with restarting the game and making the proper moves then exporting.

edit: Actually, I'm talking about something completely different.

Either way, they are talking about importing their export.

So, you make a roster change and then export.

Then after you exported, you make another roster change. You don't like it, so you import your old export.

                  They can't do that anymore.

Does anyone still have the new league file that Clay put out (whoa) last week?

I can't seem to get the ball rolling with this new one. I'm going to try a complete install.

No clue I could do that before. Did it store all your old exports on your hard drive?

                        Neither did I.

Probably a setting on OOTP 12. I would imagine that the storing of the export on a local drive might be the culprit.

You can export locally or you can export via FTP. Both import options used to be available as well.

I had Ken Cahill, but he retired. I am not going to have much money to play with. I really like my core players but don't even know how I am going to keep them. Existing Free-Agents can always be signed right?

Well, as long as they're under TEAM CONTROL, you'll at least have first crack at them. But that's before they officially become Free Agents. Obviously pending FA's that are on your roster will be guys your have exclusive negotiating rights with during the season. But, once the FA period starts, the team they played for last has no advantage over the pool.
