Haven't watched any of the DL Championship series yet. I'm curious to see if Cavadas has come out of his slump. Certainly wasn't expecting a four-game sweep, but my starting pitchers can definitely use the extra rest.

this may not be the right thread to post this but this just seems unreal to me. I have been negotiacting with a player all season and decided last sim was the last offer I would send him.

So I offered him a three year contract at 17,000,000. He replied that he was very unhappy with that offer and his counter offer was three year 17,000,001.

This is so ridiculous I may just let him walk and tell him to fuck off on his way out.

As much as I'd like to say tell him to fuck off and let him walk, it's a bug in the game. Just make another similar type offer and he should eventually accept.

well four times this season I have matched what he has asked for and everytime the new sim comes he says he has a family to feed and he ups the offer. Then I agree and he ups it again... fucking sick of it. haha.

Another thing I like about 12 is the handling of non-arbitration contracts.

These guys are ridiculous asking for extensions that include more money than they'd make in arbitration. It's nearly impossible (see: impossible) to give young pre-arbie players long-term contracts that reflect actual common sense.

I went so far as offering guaranteed money that exceeds what they'd make in the first year of arbitration plus two-three years of minimum money and was still rejected because "they want more money" when in actuality the reason is because "the contract is too long."

For who?

I love the counter-offers too. "I want a two-year contract worth $4 MM a season." Who is their agent? You currently will make the league minimum for the next three seasons. You have zero leverage.

One had the nerve to respond they were losing their temper with me. I simply thought in my mind: Okay, that's nice, I still control you for the next five seasons.

Those who've used it sing its praises, the moron commish in Carlos' other league seems to have upgraded to it in a few hours, and the powers that be are obviously no longer hyper-concerned with losing league momentum by missing a few sims here and there. Would someone explain to me why we're not moving to 12?

Please point me toward the singing of praises based on online multiplayer testing. I've honestly not seen it.

I love 12. I don't think there is a large volume of praise of how 12 is better than 11...it's just assumed it's the next logical step in the maturation and development of any online league.

Plus when half my team get's hurt next season it will be fun to watch their minor league rehab assignments as they work their way back to the BLB.
