        Pale Ale: RJ Curtis.

        Stout Slugger: Von Haynes.

I hope I've made my case on Curtis. Haynes actually led the DL in OPS.

          Pawtucket pimp: none

GM of the year = Pat. True great management putting together that cast. Sure anyone can tank 7-8 seasons and eventually your bound to have great players(Tampa Bay Bucs of the 80's), but Pat did it while drafting consistently at the bottom.

I've been a regular supporter of Diesel in these votes in the past. However, I have him on a 10 year suspension from my vote due to his severe lack of ethics when it comes to (a) trading with brand new owners, (b) exploiting the minors, (c) exploiting minors in general and (d) lavender colors club shirts. Better luck in the 00's, Smear.

BTW- Pimping Pat in no way means others didn't do a great job. Carolina, Los Lunas, Dallas, Pitt all deserved honors. Lol, even Virginia though I assume the team will perform. Previous GM of the year awards I'm sure was proof of it.

I think I've only won once. Not pimping but I should get some credit for actually playing with the injuries on this year.

I agree with everything you wrote. That said, my 3rd place vote this year came down to you or Pat. And I didn't pick you.

I thought the exact same thing. I had never heard of him until this ballot.

I usually vote for Clay somewhere on my ballot, but I don't think I did this year. It's not like that team is bad, they'll probably still win it all. Maybe it just feels like most of the leg work to build the Colonials has been done for a while? Not sure I voted for Pat either, though I can see why people have.

I'm preparing my speech as I write this.

I never expect wins or votes for that matter. However, I disagree with the "leg work being done". Legere, Barajas, Kim, Boehmer - a new crop of 1st Rounders that all have BLB value. Martinez - minor league FA turned Last Call contender. McCarthy, Gill, Hidalgo all pieces I traded for that contributed.

The JA Wright tends to go to rebuilding teams getting over the hump or teams that make flashy trades. That makes perfect sense to me. And, more importantly, everyone can and should determine what criteria they use.

I tend to vote for more of the little things. But, I bet only 1 out of 8 years do I vote for the eventual winner.

I haven't voted yet this year, but I think I know where I'm voting this year (not me - I never vote me).

The future DL Refreshing New Brew. I got him off the scrap heap and signed him to a cheap contract. He has spent most of his career in the Pawtucket minor league system and did an admirable job this year for me. He was very lucky this year and I don't expect him to keep it up. He kept me relevant in the 2nd half for sure.

He was awful, then for some odd reason he took his lame pitches to Miss and somehow went 10-2. Seems past few seasons if you can pluck the pitchers off Pawtucket they perform.
