Pawtucket 3-4 closing the worst end of the season we have had since taking over this team. I'll spend weeks trying to figure out what went wrong, but plain and simple NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO HANDLE THE ALE TEAMS.

        Neat stats:

Starter ERA = 4.74. Wow, didn't really see that one coming. Seemed in September my guys struggled to pitch past the second inning. Tought to win when your down 7-0.

4.8 runs allowed per game, 8th in DL. Even the bullpen sucked balls. We don't walk you, but when you get contact the teams got on base! 1378 hits allowed! During our 5 year run we finished in the top 3 runs per game 4 straight seasons(We pitched lights out at the end of 1991 season). Sounds strange, but pitching has been the backbone for Pawtucket while our hitting can be streaky. Tried everything. Nothing took.

8-20 September. We typically start out slow then we come on late in the year. Started out basically the same, started making our move then... MattG post his "THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS" post about Pawtucket and we went in the tank! Lol, I was kidding. We've been playing with fire past 3 seasons and finally got caught up with us.

16-38 versus ALE/ 65-43 versus everyone else. Nothing else to say except we are basically a few notches below the big teams here. Best to do some retooling next few seasons while letting them flame out.

2-16 versus Maine. Ruined my season and beating on me kept Maine in the running. Least Z misses the playoffs again!

I agree with, FunClown. Let's not lose sight of one of the best stories of the season - Z crapped the bed.

I guess there's some justice in the world that the two best divisions in the BLB each got two reps.

Congrats to my IL Brothers. No matter what happens, let's keep this trophy in the DH-less Man's League.

                Special Pimp to Pat.

I think only one season I didn't vote for him, but if he doesnt win GM of the year I don't know who deserves it.

His roster is.......monkey spunk yet somehow he turned this rag tag bunch of players into a wildcard winner. Wow, BEST JOB EVER. Lol, you even had nine players cold going down the stretch!

Congrats to Washington and shame on the rest of IL non-playoff teams for allowing Dr. "Smoke & Mirrors" to pull yet another rabbit out of his hat.

Again, he doesnt win it this award means nothing.

I will not be bullied into a vote for Diesel.

But, if I were voting for him, it would be for taking two teams to the playoffs in one season. He worked way harder on that Ale title.

Looks like all the top payroll teams are in the playoffs...well except one.

Not that that has anything to do with winning of course, just a neat observation.

What!?!? Good players cost money!!!?!? Weird.

To me, its "built vs bought" and not about money.
