Thanks. It has been a while, and this team is better than the one that I had in 1985, though that one miraculously won the IL.

It feels good. I knew it would be a while once I decided to completely blow it up, but we're in good shape now. I wouldn't have guessed that we would challenge for 100+ wins this year, but it looks like we could.

With the way we're built, I think we should be able to sustain this level for a little while, assuming the OOTP gods don't decide to screw with me.

                  Carolina Tobs: 4-3 this week
                  91-52 overall,
                  Bock Division Champions

                  1-1 at Windy City
                  1-1 at Los Alamos
                  2-1 vs Morgantown

We did it, we won the Bock! It wasn't our finest week, but we did what we needed to do and Davenport helped us out. Now with three weeks to go, I can rest some guys and see what some of the backups have to offer. As long as there aren't any crippling injuries, I pretty much know what the playoff roster is going to look like. Virginia has kind of left the door open for us in the race for home field, but it's more likely we're going to be the #2 seed.

It was another week of inconsistent pitching, another blown lead, but we still split two series against the division on the road and won the series against the Mohawks (though we didn't get the season sweep I was kind of hoping for).

                  The Good

-The bats. We can hit the ball. 49 runs in 7 games, though we did get shut out in the first one. Ismael Reyes heated up again, with 3 HRs and 10 RBI. It looks like he'll win the IL RBI crown and he leads the HR race as well, since Morgan doesn't count as an IL player. Pat Faulkner is having his best month of the year and has been pretty good for a CF. I said Chan-koo Kim shouldn't start last sim, and he was great this week.

-Adrian Iturriaga has spent all season in AAA despite being good enough to pitch on a BLB team. He started twice and gave up just 2 runs in 12 innings of work. The numbers just didn't work in his favor in terms of finding a spot on our active roster all year.

-Ty Booth got his first 3 BLB appearances and didn't allow a run. I think he'll have a spot in our bullpen starting next season.

                  The Bad

                  -Al Hamilton
                  only hit .150 this week.

-Val Aparicio struggled again. He won't be in the playoff rotation, most likely.

                  Coming Up

Three at home versus Wilmington followed by three on the road against California. We've been good against these two teams so far this season, but I might be playing with the lineups a little bit.

am i missing something? I had a hitting coach tell me he preferred my offer. Than wrote back and said just what I was looking for i'll sign it and look forward to a productive relationship.

Yet he is not on any of my teams and is still an avaliable coach. I'm confused.

Sadly, this post was made during a 2 hour train delay after my train killed a someone. This was the second time in the last few months that my train has killed someone. The last one was a truck that nearly derailed us.

But in retrospect, my post was pretty accurate. The Gordie Graham injury is crippling. He is one of the best defensive catchers in the game. The return of Toiguchi may help us win a game or two but certainly not enough to carry us to the post season.

Yeah, he was shaken. After almost 2 hours they let the entire train off at the next stop. Funclown, (yes that funclown) actually saved my sanity and picked me up there. I heard some people got home almost 4 hours late. Old and blind he may be. But, there in a pinch.

Which is ironic since he met usually picks you up at the bus station....well the mens room at the bus station but close enough.
