Lonnie Johnston leads all BLB rookies with 13 HR (in 317 AB) while also playing outstanding defense in CF. Von Haynes is the best catcher in the BLB this year. RJ Curtis leads all BLB pitchers in strikeouts and has K'd at least 8 batters in each of his last 6 starts.

It's been a bad year, but at least we have a few nice individual accomplishments to celebrate.

    NEW ORLEANS DUKES since 1993

We sure are glad to have Pancho Alvarez. And we rewarded him with a two-year extension. He's having a fine season for a #3 hitter.

About on his way to his second .300, 20 HR, 100 RBI year in 4 seasons. Good stuff.

A couple of extensions to avoid arbitration has made the fans happy. Fan interest up to 71. Gotta make some money.

Scrap heap, waiver wire, luring them into your van with the promise of candy. You pulled out all the stops this season.

Shows you how top heavy the IL is. Three really good teams and anyone else who wants it.

If you're implying Denver will try to sign Woodbury this off-season, I don't know.

Our focus is on development now. We are accepting that we can't even think about being competitive until the year 2000.

But I've also pulled back on trading any of my players. Sorry, owners.

We are gonna go back to drafting and finding scrap in free agency to plug holes. That's what worked for five magical years.

Probably set a record for most pitchers to start in one season.

Not quite... haven't downloaded the file.

Thinking about throwing Don Woods at you for a start.

We've gotten a bit better against lefties since then.

I should have time to make an in depth analysis tonight for what we want to bring to the capital. Should be interesting.

Btw, do we not get a September rescout for the minors anymore?
