That actually went a little better than I expected.

Losing Guzman hurts pretty badly though. Luckily we'll get him back before the end of the season.

Not the SIM I was hoping for, but we'll take .500 against that caliber of team.

Good News.... Magic Number is 5... then we'll push towards HOMEFIELD... after that... really have some AAA guys I want to get a look at in September. Also, good to have Freddie Boehmer back in the rotation. He strengthens our BP, by going back into the rotation. Also, another Rookie of the Month for Barajas. At least getting in the conversation for New Brew.

17-10 for a strong August. Even with all the injuries, we're still holding on. Newlin goes down for the week, but Abe Hernandez will be back any minute.

Gonna mix in some of my AAAA type guys and see if they can spark us a bit with fresh legs through the 1st set of huge division games coming up.

Makes you feel any better you'd be in first in 3 other divisions.

I can't tell if we won a game or not. It's all the same.

We'd be first in any division but the Ale and Stout because we'd be playing a much weaker schedule.

                        Which 2?

I feel like the Stout was a slamdunk this season, but I'm still not sleeping on Carolina catching me for the IL's best record.

Barajas getting into the New Brew radar is a suprise.

ugly sim (2-4). we just could not score runs. Negron out for the week plus two more hurts us alot with a tough shedule down the stretch. good thing i got that extra righty bat in Pete Miller. I know it's one week but he seems a little invigorated by the move. He hit .300/.417/.450 with three 2B's and 4 BB's.

Edit: In AAA news, Clint Barnes tied the record for RBI's in a season at 115. Gonna bring him up for september and see how he does. Hopefully he slides into the spot vacated by shitty next year.
