It should be on a rotation. We have three schedules that are suppose to rotate.
I've gotten my butt kicked by the Ale at least the last 2 seasons so unfortunately it's not. It would be nice to go to a new schedule. There are 2 on the OOTP forums...
--14 games against division rivals: one 4-game and one 3-game series home and away. One of the 3-game series is over 4 days.
--12 games against the teams in the other divisions of the same sub-league: one 3-game series home and away.
--2 games against each team in the other sub-league, in a single home-offday-away inter-league series. Thus, the schedule has complete balance, unlike the silliness that is the actual MLB schedule these days.
There are 56 series dates (47 3-day, 9 4-day) plus a three-day all star break
The season is 180 days, from April 4 thru September 30, 2006. Opening day is the first Tuesday in April.
There are 672 total series, 144 division, 384 intraleague, 144 interleague.
There are a series of divisional games to begin and end the season. In the middle, the interleague series are split up so that the off days don't all coincide. I might have tweaked it a bit to ensure that:
--there are no long home stands or road trips
--the home-away-offday interleague series's are not random but are assigned so that road trips and home stands are extended
or...

The second one is heavier on division play and you play every team in the other league twice...the first is heavier on playing everyone in your own league and you play every team in the other league three times.

I can try them. Remind me in the off-season and I'll run some tests to see that they work.
