I've been in the playoffs 5 times with one championship in the last dozen years. Problem is I've never rebuilt completely. Now it's on. And no I've never had the #1 pick.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

I keep doing it in chunks, so now I've made the complete commitment to do it right and hope it works. Everyone is locked up. Farm is getting stocked with more on the way. We'll be out of everybody's way for awhile.WINDY CITY PLAYBOYS

Even though this is only my third BLB season it seems like they have been all the same. My team is hot early. Pawtuckett with a lot talent just gets out of the gate slow. Then right after the AS break we start having a bunch of 4-3, 3-3 mediocre sims (and guys start playing to their level) as we watch Pawtuckett close the gap. then about mid-august the wheels come off and Pawtuckett starts flourishing.
I know it's a small sample size but its eerily similar every year. Like teams have certain tendencies or propensities to play this way. Who knows just something I noticed.

Rebuilding takes a ton of patience, I can see why most people would avoid doing it if they don't have to. It's not a lot of fun to watch your team lose game after game.
I've been in this current rebuild since 1990 or 1991, and its still a work in progress. But it needed to be done. There was a complete lack of talent at practically every level of my system, my drafts had sucked for years. So, I traded away everything and let my team bottom out- we weren't going to compete anyway, so hanging around to win 75 or 80 games wasn't helping. I think we're getting closer to where I want to be, but it's still ongoing.Washington Bats, 2013-

Could be we just don't do well in April? There are some crazy trends you pick up on overtime.

SP Chuck Dixon, acquired in the Toiguchi deal, threw a No-Hitter in his AAA debut for the Fort Wayne Komets, striking out 9 while walking 4 in 9 innings. Also blew through his pitch count of 95, throwing 119 pitches, easily surpassing his previous season high of 111.
