BLB Re-Starting

We'll be re-starting this week but not on a full time basis yet because I have a couple weddings to attend. Here's how the schedule will go:

9/4 (Tues) - I will import and make any trades. DO NOT OFFER CONTRACTS TO FA's. The only thing you should be doing is protecting players eligible for the Rule 5 by placing them on the 40 man.

9/5 (Wed) - Rule 5 Draft at 9 ET.

9/6 (Thurs) - No Sim

9/9 (Sun) - 1st FA sim. It will be late (after the Giants game)

9/11 (Tues) - 2nd FA sim

9/13 (Thurs) - 3rd FA sim

9/16 (Sun) - No Sim

9/18 (Tues) - 4th FA sim. We will resume our normal Sunday/Tuesday/Thursday schedule at this point.

Free Agency:
- First 5 FA sims will cover 5 days at a time in game.
- After that, they'll cover 7 days at a time in game until we hit preseason (early February)
- We'll then do 21 days at a time until the start of Spring Training.

How does everyone figure out who's eligible for the rule 5 (before it shows up in the game)? Just go player by player? I thought in past years we imported so we could select rule 5 from the menu to see eligible players and then we posted protect players...am I wrong?

I know in game each player that's Rule 5 eligible has an * listed next to their name when you take a look at the organizational roster screen.

That's the way I did it at least, I just went through and put who I wanted on the 40 and left the rest in the minors. Obviously I didn't play last year, but when we we exported our new 40 man back to Andrew, I think the easiest way I found to do it was to look for the * next to the minor leaguers name.

If you goto your transactions tab I believe, you can see all the players in your organization and I believe its the ones with a # or * (legend on the bottom) are Rule V eligible. As for the other teams, I believe once we're near the draft, there's a selection in one of the league menu's that shows them, not exactly sure but thats what I thought last off-season.

Nope. After the first time you can download in the game using the "Download Online League File" or whatever it is under the game menu. Much easier than unzipping every time.

Are we able to adjust our rosters tomorrow before the Rule V draft? I just returned home after spending 16 hours in a hospital, and am pushing 36 hours with no sleep.

If not, I guess I'm fucked...

If it doesn't mess anything up... I'm firmly in the camp of "one more day" so that Sully (and anyone else) gets a chance. We've already been off a month... what's another day to make sure we're all square.
