I'm clearly an idiot for not exporting, don't know about the other two.

      Pawtucket 6-0......

Ummmm 13-5 since Toby Rodgers was recalled from AAA and gave is "WHO ARE WE?" speech to big boys.

Lots of home games coming, but in the end we are just trying to compete. We mean no harm to anyone.

        5-1. I'll take it.

Unfortunately we lost starting SS Kip Higgins for a month. He's been surprisingly good for me and we'll miss him.

Some tough games coming up for us, it'll be interesting to see how we do.

Kip Higgins has been playing well? I guess we do continue to draft serviceable players in Denver. Just about the only thing we do right in this league. No stars. Just guys that can fill out a roster.

You didn't draft him, Pittsburgh did. You traded for him a couple years later, along with a few other pieces.

But yes, he's been doing well. He's got a .793 OPS along with a great glove. I wasn't sure he'd even make the team but now I don't know how I'm going to replace him at SS.

Oops. Forgot to set my 7 day and screwed my rotation for the week. No Pancho weeks hurt.

              Still 4-2.

Oh... And my "master plan" continues as I assigned myself a 3rd Torn Labrum, this time taking out IF utility hitter Anibal Roman for 5 weeks.

              Good times.

Third consecutive mediocre week, and now right fielder Julian Rivera is out for the better part of the next month. Sigh. Still two games back.

6-0! Dusty Simmons has come to life! Johnathon Morris and Alex Torres continue their torrid pace. The pitching repsonded to our defensive moves. Wicked Ways is happy with his new contract. Even old man OHegarty enjoyed a nice week of hitting. To say there is a renaissance going on in LA is an understatement.

I almost forgot about the bad. Robby Griggs has had yet another setback. Gastrointestinitis has gotten the better of him again. He needs to man up, slap a diaper on, and get back on the field!

The Dinos were being held back by that corporate sponsorship.

More of a case of shoddy ownership. I will admit that this team turn around owes a lot of its success to organizational moves that I am responsible for. But the ideas behind them- player development, acquisition and overall team management I have stolen from the league elders. <insert golf clap>

Good series Jimmy, lost a couple close ones to get swept.

                        Hartford:
                        46-30 (3-3 sim)
                        3-0 vs Denver
                        0-3 vs LA

We roll right along 2 GB.

                        The Good:
*Brad Hayes, who was nearly a waiver casualty, has put in a quietly terrific 1st half. 5-2 2.85 ERA as the #6 starter.

*J.J. Garcia goes to 7-0 and drops his ERA to 2.03.

*Tim Godron is red hot with 13 saves and 1.00 ERA in his last 19 appearances.

*Abe Hernandez is back, hitting .328/.451/.522 with 6 HR and 24 RBIs

*We continue to play well on the road with a 26-15 record.

                        The Bad:
*Not playing great at home (20-15) or in the month of June (13-14).

*Raul Guzman has yet to hit his stride posting a 4.84 ERA despite a 7-3 record.

                        The Ugly:
*C Adrian Herrera continues to underachieve and unimpress, batting a meager .188 on the season. His claim to fame this season being a streak where he went 0-29.

*The Whalers continue to struggle in 1 run (8-13) and extras (3-6), a statistic that heavily favored us last year and pushed us over the top in the Ale.

It's going to be another race to the end after the All-Star break. Interested to see what kind of nuclear arms type deals go down with Pawtucket, Maine and Pittsburgh. If Pawtucket makes another late season run, it could be down to the last week of the season with the Ale, Los Lunas, LA, & Mississippi all within striking distance.

The Young Hungarian Pantilimon starts his career at AA Memphis. He pitches in 5 games collects 2 saves. In 7 innings he allows 3 hits, a walk and strikes out 8. The organization is already calling for a move to AAA. Going to let him stay in AA though as not to rush things.

Can't wait till he is in the bigs with Fred Green AAA, 101 games pitched his ERA is 1.25 and oavg is .166

If only Chad Sinclair could actually hit as well as he's supposed to hit. The guy is a power bat with amazing ability to get extra-base hits and hit home runs. But, he is all power or nothing.

And it's not even just the strikeouts. If he's not getting a double, triple or homerun he's striking out or probably flying out. All or nothing, this guy.
