If the players time is up should they not be placed back on the roster, placed back on the disabled list or waived?

I'm not sure you can just put anyone "back on the disabled list." But so long as the guy is healthy, then he should be put back on a roster or moved off the DL some other way.
I'm not sure we have a specific rule against it, but I think leaving guys on the DL who aren't injured is frowned upon.Washington Bats, 2013-

I'm not sure what the point of that would be. Players can stay on the DL as long as they need to recover, you don't need to put them back on it. The only reason to put someone on the 60-day DL is to free up a spot on the 40-man roster.
As long as the guy is actually hurt, just leave him on the DL even if his DL time has elapsed. Once he's healthy, put him back on a roster or get rid of him. It's just not meant to be used as a free roster spot.Washington Bats, 2013-

I'm still confused. Are we saying this is happening?:
1) Player on DL
2) Injury heals
3) player removed from DL
4) player placed back on DL
?
I didn't think that was even possible. If a player isn't injured the game won't let you assign them to the DL, will it?
If the question is whether teams allow players to remain on the DL even after their injury time is up, then yes that happens. Sometimes for legitimate reasons and sometimes due to not paying attention.Philly Freedom

No, the game won't let you put anyone on the DL who isn't injured. A player has to be at least day to day to go on the DL.
Once they are on there, they can stay on the DL for as long as it takes to heal. The 15 day DL only means that they have to be out for at least 15 days before rejoining the team. They can be on that list longer than that if they need. There's no reason to put them back on the list.
I'm not sure why you would leave a healthy player on the DL, and I'm not sure we're even supposed to do that. I try to move guys off the list the moment I can, assuming I remember to check that sim.Washington Bats, 2013-

You definitely can't.
From rereading and rereading the post, my assumption is he is asking what he should do when he removes the player from the DL.
I think he's asking: Does he place him back on the active roster to remove him from the list or does he have to waive the guy.
I think...
My next guess is perhaps he wanted to remove a player from the DL back to the Active Roster and received the message that his roster was full. So he didn't know what steps to take to remove the player from the DL and keep him on a roster to play.
Again, I think...Denver Bulls

1. They forget.
2. They don't export.
3. They leave them there on purpose.
