Even with all the drama, we have a 5-2 sim with a 1 run loss (4-3) to Maine on the road and extra inning (2-1) loss at Mississippi.

Castor only got 1 at bat for some reason, so we did it without him. Even better (I guess?) was that Herrera batted clean-up in all 7 games and was 1-for-29 for .034 average and 11 Ks.

Garcia throws an 8 IP, 1 R gem in his first start.

Brode went 19.2 innings before giving up his first runs of the season when rub Martinez hit a two-run shot in the bottom of the 4th in a game against Syracuse.

He then proceeded to shut down the "Slammers" for the next 5 innings.

Thank you for capitalizing rub's name correctly.

We actually had by far our best pitching sim of the season, but the bats were cold. 2-5... 8-18... and only 4 games out still. Sad.

Yeah, Chad was upset about losing to you.

WOW. I finally put together a team that might break .500 and then come the injuries. I've lost a major player every sim. Time to send all the kids back to AAA and shoot for another top 5 pick. This would be what? 10 years in a row for this shit club?

Thank goodness I have that IF depth, right, Z?

Lost SS Johnston for 4 weeks last SIM. So I then lose my super utility fielder Garcia for 4 weeks.

Now Tufts will become the everyday SS. Here's hoping I don't get cursed with another 4 week injury at short.

                Fun game.

Zak Etheridge, 0-8 with 5 strikeouts entering the 20th inning, singles in the go-ahead run. And our bullpen kept the game tied with 13 innings of scoreless relief, including 5 scoreless 2-hit innings by non-All-Star Glen Harrington.

In other news, we actually won some games and scored some runs this sim. How exciting.

I miss seeing that Dane Browning.

Lost a lot of his gap power, it seems. That made him a special talent. Injuries suck.

At this point if he can just keep getting on base that's good enough for us . . .except for the fact we have no one to drive him in. #WorkInProgress
