My 2nd round pick was OF Alex Pereda out of Kansas City, Missouri. He's a raw talent with tremendous power potential. My scout think he's got as good potential to hit the long ball as anybody in the league but he can't walk worth a damn. He's got decent contact potential and my scout thinks he could hit .290 (with a .310-.320 OBP!) but hit 30+ HR.
That's fine for my squad as we typically lead the league in walks already so one free swinger won't hurt too much. He'll give me another nice OF bat to develop but it will probably take a few years for him to be close to big league ready.

I like the Tammany, Gonzalez, Allende and Zambrano picks. Especially Zambrano, as this draft is incredibly light on players with any kind of eye or OBP capability.
I think this is a very weak draft for hitters, period.SIN CITY GAMBLERS since 1990
