  • It's 8:30a.... I'm on the clock at 1.24. If anyone wants to move up, hit me in the next few minutes.

I'm going to give it 25 minutes to see if any early risers want in.

If not, I'll take the next lucky recipient of "Da Bounce".
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

    • I really liked Kobayashi, but the injury situation scared me off. If he can stay healthy he should be a keeper.

One of the columns I keep my draft sheet are "Players I Feel Will Be Top 100 on Draft Day". Just kind of my guesses based on the far too many hours I've spent studying the Top 100 list. Not blowing myself over something this unimportant, but I've gotten quite good at it.

ANYWAY.... I say that to say this.... all 20 of these guys taken so far made my list of Top 100.

I'm seeing 25-27 guys that I feel have immediate Top 100 "makeup".

        FWIW - Good job all.
As soon as I post this... 3 in a row that AREN'T on my list... including 2 that feel like major reaches.

We're all about proving you wrong.

Definitely injuries may play a part in his development (or lack thereof), but I figured the potential upside was worth the risk. High intelligence, high work rate, and high leadership are always hard for me to pass up around this part of the draft.

Yep, I totally get it. With 3 first rounders yourself you can afford to gamble a bit there.

Yep. OSA has him at 6/7/5 and my scout has him at 6/6/5. That's always a good sign to me. I'm going to be so sick when my scout retires.

                    Yeah, well....

My scout actually really likes Wessel. Good intangibles and a skill set to work with. Somewhat devleoped for a highschooler. Wanted Kobayashi in a big way, but happy with Wessel.

I'm just busting your balls... but... that being said... he won't be Top 100 on the Monday after the draft. I actually only see one more Non-Pitcher that fits that.

I have a guess as to who that is. I will be eager to see if I am right.

Oh, I know busting balls when I feel it, so it's all good.

Yep, it's all good. . . . except for your draft pick. That's still awful.

Well, we had two first rounders, so we didn't want to hog all the good players.
