  • Last Man Standing

By my count, we have six active players left from the league's inaugural season: Harry Keppel, Pedro Zamarida, Jared Kirby, Johnny Buzzell, Brian Hanrahan, and Eneas Sanchez.

Leonel Tesina, Takanibu Sato, Vernon Simmonds, and Gervasio Dealba have yet to retire and remain waiting for a team to call.

Kudos to Dallas and Sanchez, by the way, for seeing it through.

My money's on Keppel being the last one left.

What do you guys think? Who will be the last man standing?

I think its Hanrahan. He should be able to play in a relief role for at least another year or two.

I'll go with Kirby. I've never liked him, even when he was on my team, so I figure he'll stick around the longest.

Performance-wise, Hanrahan looks like the guy. But he turns 42 after the season. Have we had a guy pitch at age 42?

          I'm going to go Buzzell.

I think Keppel is done after this season.

Agree. Seeing some faster slippage now. No longer a fulltime player.

He plays for Pawtucket. He's going to off himself by the All-Star break.

Hanrahan is even looking for LESS money. Not sure what's going on in that 41 year old brain but we will take a wait and see approach.

Woodbury wants his mutual option exercised PLUS 3 years at $20.0. Starting to think he's not going to retire this season like I thought.
