I'm not sure why the math doesnt have Hartford this season ontop.

or Virginia 5th for that matter!

Because Shavermetrics have always been heavily weighted towards pitching-heavy teams.

Its really not more heavily slanted to pitching. Its supposed to (when it works) factor in your entire 25 man roster.

If thats the case, then top to bottom we have a pretty solid team this season. Was attempting to balance it more in 96 and have a stronger #1, #2 in the rotation.

            1) With the Ale being so competitive its tough just to surive the season

            2) Time will tell if any of this equates in the playoffs

Getting TO the playoffs hasn't been your issue.

True, but had to try a new approach. Excluding 1991, last 4 years = 2-4 in series play.

Starting to get the New York Knick, Patrik Ewing era, vibe.

I see more 90's Nets or Pacers. Great regular seasons. Media is behind you. Find a way to blow it. If this is in fact your best team, I anticipate one of your players going into the stands by May.

Lol, it was the Jordan era. I think you can lump 8 teams in the "also ran" bucket.

Also, I don't remember tha Nets making the playoffs much at all in the 90's.

I chose the Knicks since they appeared in several Eastern Conference finals, one NBA championship and ZERO titles.

                    Our 90's so far:

                    1 DL Championship
                    3 DL Championship appearances
                    3 Ale Crowns
                    5 straight playoff appeareances

                    Titles = Zero.

When Jordan stopped playing, the NBA went down the tubes.

So what you're saying is, Syracuse isn't that much better than us.

                            Pilsner up for grabs, baby!

Yeah, I'm not in love with the results this year, but I haven't changed the equation since I started it.

                              Personally... My Top 5 are:

                              1) Virginia
                              2) Hartford
                              3) Batavia
                              4) Pawtucket
                              5) Carolina

That being said... Carolina may end up with the 2nd best record in the BLB because I think their division is pretty light at the bottom.
