That's too bad about all the injuries. I hate ST.

We (knock on wood) made it out ok through ST 1. Some nice performances, some underwhelming performances, some mercy at bats for guys who belong in Pat's minor league system. The usual.

That's Pat. He does it in Sep too. If there's a hole, he fills in with a Minor.

      Boom!

Valencia is back in Hartford on a 1 year 5.5m deal. Sweet - half of what I was asking. Washington stole all my major leaguers who I wanted to be minor leaguers.

Surprised theres anyone left in the free agent pool. Maybe the game will just invent some new players.

If it was bad @BLBNews would have been all over it. We almost reported the bigger news that Ednams did not get injured. Must have been a fluke.

Oh, my mistake. I assumed someone was transcribing those into telegraph messages for those that aren't on board yet.

In Jistic's case, we make clicking sounds.

                              California Kodiaks 7-6

                              What went right:

                              Fernando Lopez - OF - Hit .450 (9/20) with 9 BB for a cool .621 OBP and only 2 K.

Brad Pierce - OF - Hit .591 (13/22) with 3 BB and only 1 K. Made strong case to be the 4th OF'er to start the season.

SLG% - After finishing 24/24 in SLG% last year in the BLB, we made the jump to 19. Baby steps, so to speak.

                              What went wrong:

Pitching is still a disaster - Second highest WHIP after two weeks at 1.73. Walks still a big problem.

16 errors in 13 games - Not going to cut it. Bad pitching + bad fielding = a lot of losses.

                              What's next:

11 more games in ST before we head east to open the season at Washington for three and Virginia for three.
