Free advice (do with it what you will). Don't blow a season of team control unless you're (a) in the race or (b) he's ultra pissed about being in the minors to the point that it impacts his performance. That extra year is worth more than some August starts.

I didn't realize he was still 25. Jumbled him with Cisco Ramirez.

I think Wes's OSA ratings are exaggerated but not to the point he will flame out.

I want to see him do well. I know I draft serviceable players.

On top of that I'd let that kid dominate at least ONE level of the minors before he comes up. He's almost unruinable but I'd like to see him dominate a year in say AA then maybe up to AAA end of year. Just my .02

Like everyone else, I'm happy we've made it to ST. I didn't find the offseason that boring, though I was more active than most other teams.

I like my team on paper. The lineup looks good. Pat Faulkner's contact rating went up to 6 according to my scout, and he's now "excellent, if not elite." Outside of SS, I feel good about this lineup.

I think I've got depth, if not a #1 starter. My bullpen looks good, with plenty of depth there along with a couple shutdown guys. I'm hoping it won't be the disaster that last year's pitching staff became, if nothing else.

Now just to get through ST without any injuries.

I'm happy to have him. I gave him a lot of money, but he'll really help out as my setup man, and I think he eventually moves back to the rotation. If so, that would be a huge boost for me.

Unless his half-season on the best team in the BLB coming out overall very mediocre is a sign that he's not built for the IL?

He'll be fine. Certainly the fact that the IL>DL has to be factored into the equation for him (and every other player), but his results weren't too bad, with a 2.48 FIP. He's going to really help.

Yeah... I was kidding. Wanted him back in the long-term plan. He's the exact type we like (no free passes). He served his purpose. Cost us Mal Jackson. Now we just need to turn his Sandwich Pick into something.

Was looking yesterday. Pre-INTs looks deep at SP and OF.

I think it's a better draft than last year, not sure it's as good as the one before that.

                          I think there's a clear-cut #1.

                            When do INT's go in?

60 days before the draft, which is scheduled for June 16th (or 17th).... So.... maybe SIM 2 or 3?

Since we are going to be treading water this year, I can't wait.
