Colonials went 7 for 8 on Arbitration cases losing only the Jerry Daly case (we offered $12.5, he got $13.0).

Suddenly looking like this team is coming back more intact than I thought. As long as my three Type A's decline ARB, I may not be making any deals - despite some VERY generous offers for Jerry Morgan.

Romero won his arbitration case and will receive $8.5 million this season.

With results like that, I can expect to begin parting this team out by next offseason.

I thought with the market corrections you'd be able to avoid that and keep your players?

If you don't make bad FA signings you're going to be fine. You're at $87.0 coming off bad seasons. If you start putting things together, you'll be close to $100.0 by the time the CAP era is over. Hamilton is going to be an 8-figure guy by the time he hits ARB though.

I'm pretty sure Hamilton will hit arbitration next season, along with Matsumoto and Faulkner. If Aparicio gets Super 2 arbitration, it'll be a bloodbath.

Luckily these are arbitration cases, and I'm pretty sure the game will allow to go over budget and into the red as far as I please to keep them.

As long as your players dont start asking for crazy money in arbitration.

Its still a good idea to gamble ever so often and sign them before the madness begins.

Hartfords kids are already starting to ask for off the wall money.

The arbitrator was good to us.

We won Cook, Scott and Alvarez.

Pancho Alvarez wanted $9MM. The heck is wrong with this guy. Hit more than 20 homeruns and drive in 100 before you start asking for close to $10 milly. We offered $6 MM and won.

However, we lost on Jones. We offered $2.5 and he won with $3.2. I think that's fair.

won the two arb. cases I need to give us a little FA money. Jaco wanted 6.0 we offered 3.0 and won while kane wanted 5.5 and we offered 2.25 and won. Fitz got paid like we expected (11.5).

When do we find out if the FA took their arbitration?

It would be nice if the game released a list of all the guys that were non-tendered, rather than just run a list of all the free agents lumped together.
