  • SIM COMPLETE - 95-96 - Off-Season 1

    NEXT SIM: Friday AM

    ***

    Files been up for awhile... sorry. Didn't get a chance to make this thread.

    * Trades are in
    * Awards are in
    * SIM'd up to the day before Arby
    * Stadium Mods will go in this next SIM (hopefully... they take a little time)

    REMINDER:

    If you want to protect a minor league player from the RULE V, they need to be on your 40-man by FRIDAY. PERIOD.

    Also, remember these off-season SIMs are longer. Keep your DFA cleaned off. If someone's time is up I will (1) demote (2) return to active if there's space and he refuses demotion or (3) release in that order if you leave a guy on there.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

    I just don't get it. Even free agent coaches are dissin' my organization. Lost another one to a team offering less money.

          Maybe we should shower more frequently.

          I've always suspected it had something to do with location. Los Lunas is now considered a "Big" market, and my owner is a nice-enough guy, so I'm at a loss as to why nobody (players or coaches) wants to sign with us. Maybe I should stop referring to my team as the Furry Pigs.

            I've had trouble filling out my minor league personnel this season as well. A couple guys turned us down, while plenty of others don't want to "work in Kinston," or some such nonsense. It's their loss, really.

              Yeah, unless it's a scrub coach, I've had trouble finding decent candidates as well.

              Maybe we should start to promote from within more and show a willingness to allow growth?

                You know, that brings up an interesting point. I've demoted a coach or two over the years. I wonder if that is made known to FA Personnel.

                  I doubt the game is that in depth to know that you've been demoting/promoting guys.

                  But we promote from within in Denver. Ivan Gonzales climbed the ranks in our organization.

                  I'm expecting to replace the expiring contracts of our hitting and pitching coaches with men from AAA as well.

                  It has been difficult to hire guys. Some coaches don't want to coach the low minors so they'll reject you.

                    At onetime hiring "Legendary" coaches we as simple as 1-2-3. We also have seen a increase in coaches not wanting to coach in the minors. Not sure what changed.
