  • 1996 Draft Compensation Tracker

The following players could potentially yield COMPENSATION PICKS. The following MUST occur in order for you to receive a COMP PICK:

    1) You MUST offer that player Arbitration and the he DECLINES it. If you do not offer Arbitration, the player accepts it, or you resign the player before or after arbitration offers, no compensation is awarded.

    2) Player must sign with a new team before the draft order is announced. This is 45 days before the draft or about May 1st (ish).

The eligibility is determined in-game... I have nothing to do with it.

Just a head's up that Murillo was not offered arbitration so he should no longer be a Type B.

Thank you. I don't have control over it anyway, but mostly wanted to document to avoid all of the "pretty sure I was supposed to get comp for X" posts.

Actually, as I read this I thought: "Clay wrote all out of this out for us?"

Then I felt like you loved us.

Well, I did it for the league. Because there is a pretty short window where you can actually see the COMP value. It's easier to document now then have questions later. However, the fact remains, I can't change it one way or the other.

It's mostly because every year Pat swears he's owed picks that he's not.

                I love 3 of you...
I like 11 of you like a friend...
                I like 5 of you but don't like-like you...
I consider 3 of you to be acquaintances....
And the last 1... well... I wouldn't piss on his teeth if his gums were on fire...

I offered both SP Norm Winters and SS Clint Johnston arbitration, they both declined...any reason why they aren't comp FAs?

They didn't qualify. I went team by team and listed all who qualified.
