  • 1995 Brewmaster's Cup

    Hartford @ Virginia

    ***

Not that there's a real curtain...but I'm pulling it aside anyway.

GAME 1 - Jerry Morgan gets the ball at home and looks to get us off to a good start. We're a really good home team and Morgan gives us a good chance to start out right.

GAME 2 - Jayson McQueen was not in the plans for this off-season outside of the bullpen, but I felt compelled to get a lefty up every 4 days. McQueen is only asked to not give it away while we try to out hit 'em.

    TRAVEL

GAME 3 - "Ironfist" gets the bump in Game 3 again this series after bringing home the series clincher with Batavia. The DH lineup will allow us to play both Roman and Colon which should generate more baserunners.

GAME 4 - Gus Jenkins didn't have his best Regular Season, but he's a Superstar to us. He was outstanding in Game 6 with the Muckdogs and kept our season alive.

    Rinse, Repeat from there...

Love this team. Like the Whalers. But I don't think they're ready.

    Colonials take #4

    From the BLBNews feed:

If HAR sticks to the same rotation we should see Gm1-Raul Guzman; Gm2-Raul Gonzalez; Gm3-Chuck Lindsey;Gm4-Cisco Martinez.

Cisco Martinez is the only HAR P to lose a gm so far in the playoffs. Raul Guzman has back to back CG W's in his three postseason starts.

As much as the folks in the chat wanted to call it OVER... I don't feel great about these last two games.

McQueen gets the ball in GAME 6 (we considered bring Bernal in) and we'll hope to slug our way into the title.

If GAME 7 becomes necessary... it's PANCHO. He got killed in GAME 3... he needs to bounce back. A win in GAME 7 would bring the youngster into a 1st Place tie with Legend Teagan Corrigan for most Postseason Wins in BLB history (18).

      Nervous... but love this team.

        UMD -

You have $2.0 (potentially $5.0) to spend.

Winning the League Championship = $2.0
        Winning the Brewmaster's Cup = $3.0
Total to BLB Champion is $5.0, Runner Up is $2.0

        Money can be:
        - Applied to Playoff Revenue/Merchandising Revenue in order to boost budget. NOTE: This would need to take place right away to be correctly factored into budget.
        - Added to CASH if current total is below CAP.
        - Applied to the future payroll as Owner sees fit.*

        * - This money could ONLY be used towards existing contracts and NOT towards arbitration numbers.

        More Notes:

        - The winning teams would have a deadline of Opening Day the following season to designate the funds.
        - Funds can only be traded if they have been previously applied to CASH.
        - Any adjustments to salary are PERMANENT. Salaries to not revert back after trade.
        - Salary reductions can NOT be used on Option Years.
Basically I need to know how you want your money applied IF you are adding it the playoff rev. If you're going to use it on a salary, you'll have until Opening Day

GAME 6 of the Brewmaster's Cup will be played on Yoritoki Maeda's 30th Birthday. Drafted this kid at 16 years old.... now he has a chance to win his 4th title.

          Love you, Man!
