All 4 series are over, so we're ready to move onto the LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS. I've SIMMED 1 extra day to give the remaining 4 teams a true picture of fatigue.

I scheduled the SIM for 5p on WEDNESDAY so that we can do a LIVE SIM. HOWEVER!!! If all 4 owners want to get in before then and we want to pick a time for a LIVE SIM, I'll take it under advisement.

Wow... that BAT/DC Game 1 is nuts. When you one-hit a team as good as BATAVIA... and STILL LOSE!!!! It's not going to be your series.

Our first ever playoff victory! Watching Game 1 about gave me a heart attack...but that Colonel throw to home that nailed Abbott in the 1st set the tone for the game and the series.

Our starting pitching was lights out and we got the hits when we needed them. Hats off to Dominguez for getting the start for the injured Jarava in Game 1 and getting the only hit and run of the game. When Basil and Bayer have the worst ERA's on our team and we can still win the series that gives us a little hope against Virginia. Not a lot but one can dream.

Yes, my .829 OPS compared to Batavia's .624 against a far inferior pitching staff in DC leads me to believe he should be uber-competitive.



I honestly don't think either team played particularly well in Round 1... but we have the match-up we all expected. We both burned our #1 in Game 5, so it'll be up to the supporting casts.

I still hold out my contention that I hold the advantage because:
A) I play better on the road than he does
B) I hit LHP well and he's fat with LH pitching.
C) I run the SIMs, have a history of cheating, and have no conscience.

The one tick I put towards Batavia is that I just won the Championship in HIS league... so I, technically, owe him one.

Pawtucket 4-1 versus Los Lunas. Nothing thrilling to say other than we took care of business against a Los Lunas team that was thin in the starting rotation.

Either way first series victory since Dallas in 92 (Followed by 3 Indy series losses) Goes without saying, this is going to be a tough matchup. Played Hartford better the final 5 games of the year, but overall need to steal a game or 2 on the road. God I hate this Ale division!!!!
