I think a short-season Rookie League that starts on like July 1st might be a logical option. We could limit the rosters to maybe 20-22 and maybe the first year we were going to implement it we could do a one-time 20 round draft.

I'd have to do testing, but it at least merits off-season discussion.

Leveling the markets is killing me. I've ran about 20 tests and I can not get them to come out level even in the first season. They immediately adjust. I'll continue to try to see if we can even vote on it, but no luck yet.

Maybe when I test 12 it will work.

The one thing that all owners in the BLB have to accept coming in is that we do 7 day SIMs. Period.

We made the adjustment to the playoffs, but even that doesn't change the fact that there are no Mid-SIM adjustments.
We could start small. You get to remove one player if you clinch. And reserve it just for SP. I just think it sucks that some teams this week will burn their top pitchers in meaningless games. Its very unrealistic. Really, its basically the Lonnie Coleman rule, without adding an extra sim.

Or what if we split the final week into two back to back sims?

As always...anything can be pitched, discussed and voted on. Two sims the last week is better than the first option...but the big red flag on that is it can mess with DFA and Waivers since we work based on 7-day chunks.

Again, and I'm being sincere, we can vote on anything.

And, for the record, if you think my opinion sways the owners in this league in MY direction...you're nuts. If it has any impact, its the other way.

                    I laughed.

As far as two sims back to back, dfa/waivers aren't a huge factor going into the final week, I would think.

Yeah, this seems much less intrusive. And for those that have no updates, they don't have to export. Sim time is what it is, and the league keeps moving at the same pace. I like it.

This. Not very realistic to pitch 1-2 in 161 and 162 when it was clinched at 160. In fact that seems utterly ridiculous to me that you could play 162 games scrathing and clawing the whole way (getting into a nuclear arms race at the trade dedline) and then have start 3-4-or 5 in the first games of the playoffs. Congrats for grinding that playoff berth out. No heres a first round sweep.

New Owners should not have to start with basically no fan interest. Gonna take several seasons to get people to watch us play
