Dylan Howard completely shredded AAA pitching this week (.500/3 HR/9 RBI) in his final week before his call up to the BLB.

Our A Ball affiliate (Cheyenne Wranglers) dropped the first two playoff games to Wilmington's A Ball affiliate (Aberdeen Wildcats) then proceeded to sweep the next four in winning the series.

Cafferty and LaRochelle had two great outings but other we can take from this week is taking two of three from Windy City and likely ending their reign on the IL.

          I was 5-23 in August...

The oft jested California Wildfire went 6-22 including 2 wins over me.

I'm going to lose my 4th place spot...

3-4, and lost two games in the division race. Now back 7.5. We did win the series with Maine, but losing to Dallas hurt our chances.

The next sim is huge with 4 games against Denver. If we don't win those games, we may be finally out of the race.

2-1 against Phili, 1-2 against Wilmington, 1-0 against Virginia, 4-3 overall. I needed to go 7-0 to have any hope for a playoff run in September.

Funny. I added two OFs at the all-star break. Dan Hogan was hitting .301 with a .936 OPS for Davenport, and is hitting .217 with a .666 OPS for Washington. Gary Lipincott was hitting .278 with a .790 OPS for Los Lunas and is hitting .371 with a 1.114 OPS for Washington.

              Different strokes, for different folks.

Looks like all of the divisions are pretty much wrapped up. It'd take an incredible flop for Carolina or Denver to not make it.

I think Tandy was mad you didn't trade for him and get him out of the wasteland known as Dallas...

Swept by Maine, swept Syracuse, and took the first game from Pawtucket. Gremades keeps making his case for the DL SS, his average is up to .370 and he had a walk-off 2-run homer against Syracuse.

Thank god I don't have to play you again in the regular season. The way your team owns me this year, I'm not expecting much even if I do make the playoffs.

3-4 sim for Carolina, but no real damage done in the division race. Vincent Nino got named IL Hitter of the Month for August, he's having a terrific season for me, it's about time.

I was shocked to see I'm 11-3 vs. you this year. Doesn't mean much though. Come playoff time, I'll have my hands full with your pitching staff.
