SIM 22 - Washington Bats (73-63; 5 game lead in WC)
2-1 @ Wilmington
1-3 @ Morgantown
Should have swept Wilmington, lost 4-5 in the bottom of the 9th. The Mohawks had their way with me but my Wild Card competitors all struggled.
THE GOOD
Most underrated player in baseball? The answer, is Shawn Burton. The third year OF is really starting to come into his own. Last year, 30 doubles, 10 triples and 15 homers. This year, already 28 doubles, 8 triples and 16 homers. XBH is his game.
How about Norm Winters? After escaping the DL and Millers Park, the popular veteran is finally showing what he is capable of doing. He is a quality start machine.
THE BAD
Not the best debut for Mal "The Crow" Brady...I mean, I know he isn't "ready" for full-time duty, but I thought he would do better than 2/20... I still think he gets a ST invite but he might need to start next year back in Triple-A.
THE INJURED
No, Michio Nago didn't retire. On opening day, Nago was 3/4 and then he ruptured his Achilles. Well, he is almost ready for a return. Two weeks left, and then he will be back in the lineup. Who knows how he will perform but seeing as how I have spent all year trying to find a 3rd OF worthy of playing with Burton/Bowers, hopefully Nago has something left.
NEXT WEEK
Two vs. Wilmington, two vs. Virginia, three vs. California...I'll say 2-0, 0-2, 2-1, 4-3 sim.Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
Washington Bats - 1979-2013

Let's settle this by sending Daly to Philly. If he can hit there, he can hit anywhere. I'll do it for the sake of this discussion.Philly Freedom

Daly would be good no matter where he played. But he can't be underrated as much as Clay talks about him.

I agree with Delandis, Jose Guzman is underrated. No one talks about him and he's gonna be a HOFer.Denver Bulls
