SIM 22 - Washington Bats (73-63; 5 game lead in WC)
      2-1 @ Wilmington
      1-3 @ Morgantown

Should have swept Wilmington, lost 4-5 in the bottom of the 9th. The Mohawks had their way with me but my Wild Card competitors all struggled.

      THE GOOD
Most underrated player in baseball? The answer, is Shawn Burton. The third year OF is really starting to come into his own. Last year, 30 doubles, 10 triples and 15 homers. This year, already 28 doubles, 8 triples and 16 homers. XBH is his game.

How about Norm Winters? After escaping the DL and Millers Park, the popular veteran is finally showing what he is capable of doing. He is a quality start machine.

      THE BAD
Not the best debut for Mal "The Crow" Brady...I mean, I know he isn't "ready" for full-time duty, but I thought he would do better than 2/20... I still think he gets a ST invite but he might need to start next year back in Triple-A.

      THE INJURED
No, Michio Nago didn't retire. On opening day, Nago was 3/4 and then he ruptured his Achilles. Well, he is almost ready for a return. Two weeks left, and then he will be back in the lineup. Who knows how he will perform but seeing as how I have spent all year trying to find a 3rd OF worthy of playing with Burton/Bowers, hopefully Nago has something left.

      NEXT WEEK
Two vs. Wilmington, two vs. Virginia, three vs. California...I'll say 2-0, 0-2, 2-1, 4-3 sim.

He can have that nickname once Jose Guzman retires.

          What's underrated?

Talk about underrated.... look at Jerry Daly having to share a team with Woodbury, Chavez and Maeda (not to mention the pitching). That kid is the #1 star on 60% of the teams (if not more).

Daily is half the player on 60% of other teams. Hitting in front of those three guys doesn't hurt his cause.

I also like how the league's most underrated player is rated 7-8-6-6-7 by OSA.

Please... in the real world maybe, but it doesn't work that way in OOTP. Maybe helps his Rs and RBIs being on this team... but doesn't explain away the rest of his numbers.

                  Disagree. Just ask Tosselli.

Let's settle this by sending Daly to Philly. If he can hit there, he can hit anywhere. I'll do it for the sake of this discussion.

But when you trade him mid-season the experiment is ruined.

I'm re-tracting my earlier statement that I'd let you run my team. If you think I EVER compared Toselli's best season to Daly's worse... than you're crazy. Toselli was a nice piece in my lineup. Daly is a Superstar.

Pfft, mid-season. He'd probably make it 3 weeks, tops.

Daly would be good no matter where he played. But he can't be underrated as much as Clay talks about him.

Daly isn't underrated. I think he's ignored at times, but people are aware.

I agree with Delandis, Jose Guzman is underrated. No one talks about him and he's gonna be a HOFer.
