          I tried finding an explanation for this and I cannot.

          McGuire was inserted into the lineup to start for two games, but was noticeably absent in three others making one pinch hit appearance in the fourth.

          Only assumption I can make is his herniated disk? Maybe he wanted to rest him? I don't know. I'm interested in his reasoning.
