    NEXT SIM: Friday AM

    ***

MAJOR FTP Connectivity problems this morning. Not sure it's on my side or on the FTP. If you have any issues getting the League File - my best suggestion is simply keep trying. Once someone has it, let me know if it's OK. I have obvious concerns about corruption.

Still working on HTML and Utilities.

Sau out. Season over. I quit trying. We're holding onto first, but that should be wiped out next sim. I bet we finish 4th in the Ale. Again.

.500. Finally back since we were 32-32 back on June 18.

4 games up now in the Pilsner. Took care of the competition this week going 5-2 and winning both series against Dallas and Indy.

Olivo second straight game pitching 8 innings. This time gives up one unearned run and 3 hits. 2.27 ERA since July. Settling in to a point where he might actually get his innings over his hits allowed.

Googz second straight quality start giving up 2 runs and taking a 2-1 LOSS. Ugh. Terrible run support. Doesn't help that he's had to go up against Raulo Gutierrez and Doug Little in both games.

!Ole! has given up only 4 runs in his last 31 appearances spanning 36.2 IP. Really solid bullpen arm at this point.

Pepe Gonzalez made his BLB Debut going 3-4 with an RBI.

Joe Nazaire had his 20-game hit streak snapped when he was taken out of a game in the 3rd inning with a bruised thigh.

UMD is right, Sau got hurt playing against us.

                Pawtucket 5-2.

2-1 versus Pitt on the road
                3-1 versus Hartford.

Needless to say probably the most important week of the season for us at this pt. 2 back of the division, 1 back of the wildcard.

Turcotte back, Link back. Still short 2 starters, but this is the hand we are dealt so no sense crying anymore.

18 at home/ 8 on the road. Let see if we can finish strong again!

Good. I think the issue was on my side. I need to do a reboot and try the utilities again, but that won't happen till after 3p. Glad the League File isn't corrupt.

2-4 week at Hartford and Pittsburgh hurts, but being in second place a game back of a Sau-less Hartford isn't a terrible result.

                        That blows.

Sau will win the Batting Title. He qualifies with 524 PA and I don't see anyone climbing the 17 points needed to beat him out. That's essentially locked.

He could win the RBI title if Chamissa doesn't go nut in the final weeks. But somehow 18 RBI doesn't seem out of reach for him.

It doesn't matter because there's very little chance that Chamissa doesn't pass Sau in home runs.

Another Triple Crown hopeful bites the dust. Maybe he was upset I didn't include him in my Under-30 All-Star Team?

Or maybe this franchise is cursed and will never win anything.

Key injuries blow. Been putting up with this since 91:

                              Samuel -92
                              Zamora/ Gallo/ Victor- 93
                              Ocampo- 94
                              Zamora/ Victor- 95

                              It just happens.
