What are the best and worst trades for your organization?
For Maine
Best:
Traded C Colin Cooper, SP Mike Hinchy and MR Joe Soca to Pawtucket for RF Amistad Caballero and C Dave Beacham
Beacham has been my starting C since the trade. While not spectacular, he's shown respectable power and drives in runs. This year has been his best so far with 21 HR and 78 RBI. Amistad Caballero has also made his way into my starting lineup. He's a consistent 20 HR, 80 RBI guy who also won the postseason MVP last year.
Soca was good but was entering FA and wouldn't negotiate with me. I also had a surplus at MR at the time. Colin Cooper is a career .213 hitter and Mike Hinchy was a career 5.35 ERA pitcher and was recently released by Pawtucket.
Worst:
Traded 2B Joe Proenza to Los Alamos for MR Terry Hassett
Proenza has really come around this year with a .318 BA and .822 OPS. Hassett only pitched 13 ineffective games in a Guides uniform.
