The Noel B/Howe deal was simple. I gave a list of 5 guys and said pick 3. The other two were Roman and Bernal. If he takes Roman instead of Noel the deal probably looks different. But what if he doesn't take Howe and he's here? Could have gone either way.

The one thing we can agree on...we both think about me a lot.
I was never wrong about Wallace. He put up Stout Slugger worthy numbers every full year he was in Baltimore except one. There was no reason to think that a 38 year old would continue to hit +.325 for 5 straight years after only reaching that mark ONCE in the 1st 10 years of his career.

I have really come to hate the word, basically.

If this is the case, I don't want to see another post about someone "winning" a trade. Every time it is said, you are basically saying one side didn't know what they were doing.

Now, because of the inherent greatness of the word BASICALLY, I now know you are not allowed to say Clay won a trade.

      DELPREZ ANGRY!!

Not as angry as Carlos, though.

No one could honesly declare a "winner" of a trade unless it was straight BLB for BLB. Even at that its sketchy.

Anytime picks or prospects are included it can take 5-7 years to decide.

Hey I don't choose trade winners. I don't offer commentary on other trades in regards to who won or lost.

You can say Clay won. There's a difference between: "Clay won this trade" and "Clay sold this owner on trash."

One gives credit; the other discredits.

But it does seem as if very few want to give Clay any credit at all for a trade. It's always the same folks too. So obviously why would any of those trade with Clay when they know the expected response is they got owned.

More quality players for me, I guess.

I see what you did there. Just when I think you aren't following a thread, you throw in a little nugget like this.

                See Zamora for Lim.

Sometimes trades that look like slam dunks don't work out. Whether it was due to injury, in Lim's case, or otherwise... there's always risk involved.

You know what, I'm done with this topic. I'm not going to talk about it anymore or even respond to it. It's not worth it and I feel like it'll just create bad blood between people and I don't want that. I want to be hated for different reasons entirely.

I'm just going to keep watching my little sprites win baseball games.

Except for Jake and Ryan. I want them to hate me for many reasons.

I'm rebuilding. You can go out and do all the winnning you want until I'm ready to come back home and get the big piece of chicken. Daddy always gets the big piece of chicken. You remember that!

Learn from me. I've done it wrong for many years. I took it personal. Its not. Its fandom. Its like if you took the 30 guys who were each the biggest fans of MLB team and put them in one forum. People look at every move and see it through the lens of "how does this hurt my team"

No! Fight. I demand you enter into an agreement of war like gentlemen should.

Aw, crap, and here I thought we were just rebuilding a relationship you strained when you used Arredondo to acquire Woodbury.

I really don't take it personal because in the grand scheme of life, I don't care. You can make fun of my player or joke about a move I make but I'm still going to try to start a conversation the next day with the person.

I find it funny when it's suggested that I'd vote Skerik off the island if I had a choice. I guess it makes sense considering, but I've engaged in friendly conversation with him since that Olivo discussion. Delandis has been very open in disagreeing with the moves I've made, but I have no trouble separating his opinion on my roster moves from regular discussion on the boards.

Man, when I have to deal with women clients all day (because women dominate the event marketing business) and hear/read them bitch and moan about the slightest of things, there is nothing anyone can do on this board that would irritate me beyond the normal day-to-day at work.

Well except for when Spot trades a #1 pitcher without throwing him into the market first. I think I have every right to find that irritating ()

Anyway, the point is: I don't care, but I can't know for sure how anyone else feels and rather than assume people don't care, I'm gonna play it safe before a joke I make actually bothers someone enough for them to hate me.

Just please, don't joke about Olivo. I think we ran out of tissue paper in the office and my sleeves aren't water resistant.
