Yuk. Looks like we finally crashed. Just to many injuries now.

Pawtucket 1-5. Still feeling the affects of the Bears game.

Two straight .500 weeks. 3 games under .500. But we've climbed to the top of the kiddie mountain. Strong August going 17-10. Of course, Dallas went 18-9 so definitely gotta keep an eye on them.

Can't complain. Didn't expect much against Maine. If Googz has a perfect game instead of a stellar one then we go 2-1 against them. Oh well. We aren't there yet, but I like where we're going.

Since I've double posted (thank you SGN), I might as well use this for more info:

Pancho Alvarez is smoking the ball right now. Reminding me of the second half he had in 1993. Hoping he can put that sophomore slump way behind him.

Sinclair is gonna struggle hitting for average when he strikes out so much, but his power is there. 15 in 87 games. He's been hitting at least one a week.

I worried that Melson would struggle coming back and he initially did, but has been really solid since.

Garcia is slumping hard which is unfortunate because he was hitting well all season.

Ivan Olivo just finished his best month of the year. Two straight months of ERAs under 2.50. Of course, he's only 2-1 in those games over two months. Obviously an inability to go deep into games is part of the reason. Will never be a 20-game winner. Heck, can he even reach 10? But, so long as he keeps us in games and keeps the score down, I'm happy.

Almost got Tesina back from injury and then he goes down with an appendectomy. So his season is done.

Woodbury pulls within 1 of Keppel in the All-Time HR Record and the unofficial "CHASE TO 500"!!!!! Thank goodness Pawtucket killed Keppel... for Woodbury's sake.

Also, to whoever it was that posted about all the garbage I trade.... I'd like to point out that Rod Phillips and Doug Howe both won awards this month. Two guys that could be on my team right now but I had to trade that "garbage" away.

That's my nice was of saying... screw you all... well not all.... but most. OK... all.

I see Toselli, Poling and Botiglieri have been conveniently ignored.

Toselli wasn't sold as high end talent. Everyone knew what he was.

              Poling is still Poling.

And Noel B was a prospect that I had for 15 minutes. Any prospect that is traded is a lottory ticket.

Again, it goes back to Owner responsibility. I only trade with experienced Owners. I'm not in control of what they do with players after they leave.

I got Coleman in the Olivo deal. He's already gone because he was a dud in VIR. So now that Olivo deal is Olivo for an 18 year old prospect who has dropped down the prospect board every SIM since the draft. Who'd I screw on that one?

As always, I go back to my point. These shots aren't at me...they're basically calling the otherside idiots who don't know how to run their teams.

                1. From your 1991 "Silent" Auction:

Florian Tosselli (OF) - Coveted by many every season. Available to be had. 1991 All-Star. Gonna hit .300 for you and get on base at around .365-.375.
                2. I believe you lost a bet on Poling (I have yet to see any photos).

                3. You had Howe for the same 15 minute period as Noel. Bad with the good.

As always, I go back to my point. These shots aren't at me...they're basically calling the otherside idiots who don't know how to run their teams.
Good try, but we all know it is always all about you.

Yeah, he's dropped all the way down to #12 on the top prospects list. At this point, I'd probably just release him if I were you.

Yea. Just in case you have a great player in AAA, he can participate in AAA playoffs and still get promoted for reasonable PT during Sept. call-ups.

Toselli was coveted. There was always a ton of interest in.

Poling was dealt before the T-Shirt bet. I'm a Poling fan. How is my believing he'd put up certain numbers different than what eveyone does each year? How many times were you wrong on Wallace?

The Noel B/Howe deal was simple. I gave a list of 5 guys and said pick 3. The other two were Roman and Bernal. If he takes Roman instead of Noel the deal probably looks different. But what if he doesn't take Howe and he's here? Could have gone either way.

The one thing we can agree on...we both think about me a lot.

                            Maybe.

The point is, I didn't trade Olivo for Al Hamilton. I got a lotto ticket.

Honestly, that's how I feel about this too.

I don't care either way except when Skerik makes fun of my players (and makes me cry in the bathroom at work), and I don't think it's done on purpose to belittle the owners on the other end of the deal, but saying Clay is taking advantage of people or selling fool's gold is basically saying the other owner does not know what he's doing.

It's not like I haven't run successful teams before in Denver. Should kind of be beyond the point of wondering what the heck Carlos is doing wrong and perhaps considering that maybe Carlos is doing something I haven't considered.

No, but really, Cocky Carlos is still here. I'm like amazing and stuff.
