I think Hartford comes out on top in the Ale and frankly, I think they have the only team in the DL that can beat Virginia. If it comes to a 3-man rotation+bullpen+offense, Hartford becomes the best team in the league.

On the Baltimore front, I can't wait to get the September re-scout for minor league players and the September expansion. Depending on how much my scout thinks he's improved, I may let Wade get a taste of the bigs, just to see how he fairs.

Baltimore Bulldogs - BLB since '84
    - Porter Champs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12
    - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16
    - Brewmaster's Cup: '01

      .
      Bold.

I give HFD the advantage in 1 OF spot, maybe 1B and bullpen, but that's even suspect because besides Pancho-Morgan-Gus being a far better 1-2-3, but our BP gets way better when my 4-5-6 join it. With Jonah McCarthy and Colon clicking now, this may be my best team.

      ***

I think Hartford also takes the ale

      I think Denver gets in

I think there's a one game playoff for the IL WC

      ***

I thought Jerry Daly was going to break the SB record this season but not anymore.

I think with the Keppel injury, Doorbell catches his for the HR Crown before the end of the season.

      ***

Offseason is going to be a good one in ViR. Were surrounding Woodbury with youth for his finAl season in town. Love my high minors right now and can't wait to get them up.

I haven't looked lately, but Gus had been getting beat up all year, last time I checked.

He's certainly having a down year but he's a stud and his style matches up with the playoff teams. I'm expecting a big playoff from him.

I just think that Hartford's lefties are too much for Gus. That's also why I think Batavia has a good shot. Plus Batavia's bullpen is (and has been) awesome.

Now that I think about it, I don't think VA even makes it to the Cup this year. There's been too much of a power shift. Well not a power shift, in as much as the salary cap is working.

I'd also watch out for Dallas to make a late run for the Pilsner.

Well, you'd certainly know what it takes to build a team that can beat me. Oh wait.

I thought I had a chance until the entire VA crowd came in armed with this Colonial-approved apparel:

                  Then it was over.

They've been winning at a high pace as well.

Thank goodness the Pilsner is someway improved. No thanks to Jake and Ryan.

I had offense and my starting lineup was pretty good, but I never had the bullpen necessary to beat you. So its time to retool.

Think of me as the IL version of Denver, without the "eccentric" team building strategies.

Speaking of Baltimore-Virginia records, VA just passed Baltimore as the 4th winning franchise of all-time.

Sep 4th in-game, a little more than a month to go. Amri Sau currently leads all DL triple crown categories. We've had a few close calls over the years, so does he get there?

We actually do compare in some ways. I've privately thought that the closest IL comparison to Denver is Baltimore.

We are also the only teams with 1,400 wins that do not have a Cup. Sad.

Edit. I'm wrong. Davenport snuck in last year too.
