  • SIM COMPLETE - 1995 - SIM 20

    NEXT SIM: Monday A.M.

    ***

Waiver Trade deadline will pass in the next SIM, so any more last minute moves need to be done by then.

Let me know if I missed any this SIM. I didn't update any player history on these because it's a huge pain in the ass and there were so many of them. I may go back (doubt it) sometime, but for now, I just got them done.

1-5 with a 6.7 ERA for the week. Thank goodness the rest of the Porter already gave up.

And it looks like we might have a IL wildcard race after all.

      Effing Denver.

The Syracuse back end slide is beginning. Injuries are sapping our lineup and our pitching can't keep up. Still a game up, but, the writing's on the wall.

Would have liked to finish tied with Syracuse after this SIM but couldn't get that 4th win this week.

3-3. One game back now. I'll take it considering everyone's performance this week was questionable.

Two series wins, still hanging around a game back of Los Lunas.

          - Fresi and Sumita are a combined 7-2 since joining the rotation.

          - After a huge August, Refund is quietly up to an .800 OPS and 21 HR.

          - Non-All-Star Glen Harrington still leads all qualified BLB relievers in VORP.

          - Ismael Ramirez made his BLB debut and registered 2 (messy) scoreless innings.

Oh, and we are now 8-4 against the Stout after taking a series from each team. Thanks for the wins, chumps.

Pawtucket 5-1. Good enough to catch one game on the wildcard race (Wow the Porter is bad)

Overall felt good sweeping Batavia the proclaimed "only team that can beat Virginia".

Still, just lost Victor and Keppel had a setup. With 4 of our 9 starters out of the lineup I'm truthfully surprised we are in this thing.

                    6-0 vs Hartford and Maine
                    1-5 vs Pitt and Pawtucky

Them's the breaks I guess. And don't get too cocky Clown...for us to have a 6.70 ERA is slim to none. Go play the lottery today or something.

5-1 sim. Picked up a game on Maine stayed up on Pawtucket. Lindsey-Gonzo-Guzman 0 ER in ~30 IP. Nice to have Sau (4 HR .375/.423/.917) and Kirby back. Newlin off to a good start back in Hartford batting .389 with 6 RBI and 7 BBs.

I saw the Colonials had an injury this sim... Just the 7th of the season... Don't worry it just a two day injury. On the season the total injury time of the seven injuries, 39 days. Unreal.

The Bats lost starting SS, and ROY hopeful, Shawn Nolan for five weeks. In one injury, I have as much missed time as the Colonials have had all season.

With A and AA season's over, there's a lot to be excited about for us in the minors - mainly A ball. Our entire A ball rotation is top 100 prospects - #18, 27, 30, 78, and 98, and they're all showing good signs. Hitting is light, but that's ok. Once again SP Ivan Martinez is back in the top 100 at #16 as well.

And our projected payroll next year is in the $30's. High times in Syracuse ahead.
