  • BLB "What If..." #3

Thought of this one today and I won't have time to throw it up in the A.M., so I thought I'd throw it up tonight....

Since we have so few original owners left... thought this could be fun...

    WHAT IF....

The BLB were starting fresh today. Same rules. Same structure. But all of the teams are gone.

Where do you plant your team and what do you call them?

All my home-made sports teams have been either the Buffalo Banshees or the Lockport Monsters (my oh-so-clever take on the Loch Ness Monster). I'm guessing a Banshee logo would be hard to come by, so I'd probably go with the Monsters.

huge cleveland sports fan... would be trying to bring them their first world champoinship since before my father was born in '54.

Current team I thought about goin with Steele City Cantelevers or the Pittsburgh Down'easters

I'd be in Buffalo. Couldn't tell you a name. But me and gyro would have the best rivalry within 30 minutes of each other in BLB history.

shockers is the name of an old man softball that plays in the C division in lahaina maui. although that that team does come with one hell of a coach and a gay second baseman.

            R.A. Grounds= Tommie Cook?

              Ft. Travis Revolution

With some sort of uniform based off the state flag colors and the star on the hat.

My team would likely be MOTOR CITY MECHANICS. That was my plan for the Colonials when I joined the BLB. But, once I fell in love with the Virginia "legacy", I settled for naming my OSFL Franchise that name.

Coach will tell ya, Shockers would be Champs if the ump didn't miss that call...or if our team had real fans!

Oh you mean the Philadelphia Freedom?

Or the original Washington Yankee uniforms? Does anyone remember those? They were even uglier then my current.

Montreal Rouge! or maybe a team in Toronto.

I wanted to relocate the Brawlers to Toronto but over time Davenport grew on me. I enjoy the history of the team and I know if Riverman wanted to come back and some point he wouldn't be too happy with the Toronto Brawlers.
