Staying in the IL my top 3 are:

      1. Virginia. Just know what it feels like to win a championship or 2. Then be a bit more fiscally responsible and blow it up.

      2. Carolina. Great farm system that has alot of future "ok" players. Sure the system would be bare in a couple of seasons, but in the Bock should be worth 4-5 divsion titles.

      3. Morgantown. I'll turn this into the most active team in the league and perhaps make the budget go up.

I hope you're not implying that I'm fiscally irresponsible....

I've never finished in the RED. I haven't given a bad contract in close to decade. I've never "salary dumped" because someone was overpaid... I've had to dump because my players got so good that they killed me in arbitration.

It may seem counter intuitive since I'm the only team to touch $100.0 in the salary cap era.... but I'd argue that I'm the MOST fiscally responsible in the league. Hell, I haven't signed a player in Free Agency in like 5 years.

O'Heagarty was overpaid and a salary dump.

You're crazy. The last extension I gave him in '91 was a great contract for what he did. Teams who don't win just undervalue speed and OBP.

And he was allowed to move on because I had to extend Chavez. Again, a product of a homegrown guy booming.

Plus, again, a testament to my team. Who else can let a potential HOFer walk in a playoff run and still compete?

Dude you threw a Hail Mary with him because you saw the deep decline coming, nothing more. Pat took the bait and then pawned him off to his alter-ego. I'll pass on the bad contract, but it was still a salary dump.

Hail Mary? I had a plan and executed it. It was worth more to me to have the Roster spot and the money than the player. Why? Because that's what winners can do. That's what building a first class organization ALLOWS.

                      I sell Gold.

What the new Owner does with the gold is not my responsibility. You can turn it into something classy and elegant.... or you can make a grill.

Don't worry. Once Danny Nelson retires, I'll give my pity ring spot on my roster to Loren Wallace and show him how a winning organization does it.

Or a really good team doctor and a guy who knows how to rest players and use defensive replacements.

Not really. Most were signed before the salary cap. If we hadnt had a cap I'm pretty sure your salary would be higher.
