Without a CAP, I'd be unbeatable. I'd still have Rod Phillips, O'Hegarty, Poling, Olivo, Jerry Collins, Ivan Perez.... I'd have really good BLB players on the bench.

No whining unless you voted for normal injuries instead of low injuries way back when.

I'm not whining I just don't know how to use defensive replacements and rest my players enough. It's all strategery.

So basically you don't understand baseball?

To bad they don't have a NASCAR league. I know you'd rock at that.

              Resting players, my ass.

Chavez, Woodbury, and Maeda have played in 939 out of a possible 978 games over 1993 and 1994. That is a lot of rest, playing 96% of the regular season games not including playoffs and All-Stars.

Chavez and Maeda haven't put me in a position that I need to rest them much. Woodbury doesn't get a ton of days off, but I do use DR's on him and, for example, this week in Interleague he'll DH almost all week. Also have him playing the smallest part of my park.

And, most importatnly, having the depth chart properly utilized and the 7day, sometimes make a nice mix.

Or you could face the Pilsner and rest all of your regulars.

If no one would trade with you, as I've advocated for... and with the salary cap, VA wouldn't be the monster it is.

Doug Howe, Florian Tosseli and Noel Botiglieri say hi.

It is a bit strange that VA hasn't made a trade with the Porter in years. Probably since the Woodbury trade. We get burned once, and learn our lesson.

The Bock....they are just a tiny bit masochistic and now you've got the Pilsner joining in the orgy on a semi-regular basis.

Meh... I'd still be winning. I have enough talent in AAA to keep reloading. Plus, I've traded away good players that if no one traded with me would be here.

I'm bringing up a ton of my homegrowns next season to kick off the Post-Woodbury era in '97.

Final thought: Many of the teams willing to trade with me are on the cusp of the playoffs or moved those traded players to playoff teams.

I trade Filet Mignon. I can't help it if people deep fry it in Crisco.

Denver is doing fine. Olivo just needs to settle in. Denver is on the cusp of the playoffs. I love the flexibility Olivo gives him.

A sub-.500 record and still in the hunt for a division title is never "fine." Its pitiful.

                              Ummm, no offense, Carlos.

To quote the old joke about Milton Berle's legendary endowment....Denver is "only taking enough out of his pants to beat the other guy."
