I hate OOTP and the lack of alerts it gives. I lost Pete Hudder because he was on DFA too long, which caused all of his contract to go on my books this year. I don't know why the game can't be smart enough to alert you to important things when you try to export.

Kubota is out for five weeks after being beaned by Los Alamos' pitcher, Jerry Singleton.

Refund seems to be trying to pack an entire season into August. The hitting finally seems to be coming around this month across the board.

Glen Harrington has a 1.43 ERA over his last 47 appearances. I credit his lack of an All Star appearance with keeping him fresh down the stretch.

Fabian Fresi is doing his usual smoke and mirrors routine, posting two very good starts since he was brought up to replace Loren Washington in the rotation.

Seika Sumita has a 2.20 ERA since he was moved into the rotation to replace Curt McMahon.

Unfortunately, either Washington or McMahon will need to rejoin the rotation following Aquila Barbaran blowing out his elbow and winding up on the shelf for the next 10 months. Barbaran's 8-8 record, 55% quality start percentage and 3.99 ERA were more than we thought we'd get out of him after we claiming him on midseason waivers.

                      OUCH! That sim hurt.

Pawtucket 1-5. Strange part is we gained a game. Now tied for 3rd. Not the way I planned on waking up Monday morning on a vacation day

Last 2 sims I stopped doing my good luck ritual. Time to get that back on track.

Notes: Missing 3 starters on offense, but its been the bullpen thats really been a puzzle this season. Can't make heads or tails this season as to why, but just keep shaking things up til we get it right.

Apparently Funclown's carnival ride broke down. I'm just happy someone stood up to the Ale in our division. Unfortunately, it's my turn next week. I don't think the results will be even remotely similar. Call me crazy.

4-2, gained a game in the WC standings. Of course it's OOTP fool's gold for now. The boys will stop playing on adrenaline soon enough when they look around and realize they've been saddled with a roster full of AAAA type players.

Suarez is done for the year. Bollati is still on the DL after hurting himself changing a flat tire. We lost Brady on waivers. Crap.

Still, a 4-2 sim has us tied with Hartford for the division lead.
