  • REMINDER - Trade Waivers

You MAY NOT make a claim for a player if you do not have enough CAP room to be award that player.

EXAMPLE: Maine made an invalid claim on Coen Nuijs. His payroll number is $8.2 and Maine has less than $8.0 in CAP SPACE. Remember, it's not PAYROLL SPENT.... your PAYROLL may never exceed $100.0 unless it's due to Call-Up.

If there is a question, let me know.

So you can go over budget for trades, but not waiver claims?

      Not over budget... Over cap.

Edit: I meant, he's not talking about over budget. He's talking cap.

It's not actually based on budget, so you can actually go over budget on trades and waiver claims. The magic number is your player salary figure. It can't eclipse $100mil. Budget doesn't get factored in.
