    Happy 4th

Another 4-3 week for me, not playing as well as I'd like. Davenport picked up a game in the standings, only 5.5 back now, I don't know how they're doing it. Hopefully we'll have a good week this next sim, with Virginia and California, who we've had great success against so far this year.

Tomas Cirlos got injured for 3 weeks, but he's garbage anyway. I don't expect that to be a big loss.

Nice to see Esser sign that contract, I thought I was lowballing him.

Swept Windy City and California. I am 13 games above .500, and still far, far behind Wilmington.

Tessai MacArthur made his long awaited major league debut. 6IP, 4H, 1ER, 5BB, 5K, in a 4-1 win against California. Not encouraged by the walks, but it could have been worse.

No Kirby, No Samarano, no wins.

Finally got 'em back. We're a star driven team with not a ton of depth behind them. We can usually deal with one gone, but two, we're not so good then. We need a massive run here.

            1-6, season over. :(

            3-10 vs. LL
            3-8 vs. Maine
            4-9 vs. Denver

            10-27 (.270 winning %)
47-35 (.573) vs all other teams.

Those 3 teams absolutely killed me.

Well, if there was any question where my spot in the league was this season... this SIM clinched it... 1-2 against California and then an ass whoopin' sweep from Davenport (who is in total rebuild).

Time to bring a couple prospects to see if they have BLB legs yet. I think Delmar Oyos is going to make his BLB debut on Monday August 30th against Washington.

Swept a two game set with Philly and then went up against the wrecking ball known as the Wilmington Wildcats (who own me this year with a 9-3 record). Cafferty and LaRochelle pitched well, but that's about it.

Windley has his average up to .300 and Bovey continues crush the ball since his trade to Los Alamos .337/7 HRs/19 RBIs in 23 games.

Howard had another incredible week at AAA hitting at a .400 clip. My will to hold him back until September 1st is wavering.

Tardif had another great outing going 6 innings, giving up 3 hits, and striking out 7. His ERA is now at 0.82, with a 0.94 WHIP, and .159 BAA in 13 starts this season.

My offense woke up again after a couple week slump. 54 runs in 6 games this week. Bill Fallon had 4 HR and 14 RBI.

Gil O'Moore is turning into a legit #2 starter. After his horrendous start, his record is back to .500 and his ERA is under 4.00. He went 2-0 with 15.2 IP this week, 10 H, 3 R, 2 BB and 22 K's. He pitched a 2 hit shutout, his first in the majors.

John Ewing, one of my relievers who's talent jumped is inching closer to the BLB. After dominating AA (0.98 ERA in 17 games) I moved him up to AAA where he has 3 saves already in 3 chances, only allowing 1 hit. His ratings are also up to 5/4/5 according to a quick scout, which makes him almost BLB ready in my book. We might see him in September.

O'Moore's complete game shutout was the highest rated pitching performance of the year scoring a 93.

Wow, we haven't seen a no-hitter this year after seeing 3 last year.

The outfield woes continue for Philadelphia. Ken Henshall, acquired earlier this season for Desi Rochs, suffered a strained elbow ligament that sidelines him for 3 weeks. Pablo Calvo, acquired in the trade that sent ace Barrerra to Dallas, tore his PCL and his out for the remainder of the season and possibly some of spring training next year. Annibal Alsina, received from Denver in the Hartcourt deal, is day-to-day with a bruised wrist.

So this gives us a a day-to-day injury to Alsina and a Woodbury injury earlier this year that sidelined him for a month to go along with Henshall on the 15 day disabled list and Taporco, Iliquez, Calvo, and Gomez all on the 60 day disabled list.

Aurillo had a serviceable 2nd start. I guess that's promising.

                            This should be fun.

Oh, and for those that don't know, it is the last week of the AA and A regular season.

                              Andrew.....

Here's the properly sized new league logo. The one you are using now is stretched in game and in the html. I didn't know you were going to incorporate the one I showed you into the image pack already.
