    From my midseason report:

-Another guy to watch will be Sze Zhu. I know that he was too green to be in the BLB and could've used another year in the minors. But after watching a lot of the games this year, I really think he has a chance to put it all together in the 2nd half of the season. He doesn't strike out a lot, has the 2nd best eye (walks) on the team behind Kubota, and lately has been hitting much better than earlier in the season. His average is not great but I've watched him play and I think he has the potential to replace a guy like Ivan Garcia at the plate.

Zhu Collects Player of the Week Award
Monday, July 17th, 1995: It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Import League, but last week Sze Zhu of the Baltimore Bulldogs reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Zhu rocked opposing pitching for a .636 average (7-11), no home runs and 1 RBIs to come away with the award.

And this was against the Colonials pitching, who we played surprisingly well, despite losing the series 1-2.

Don't feel bad. There are only two teams in the league with winning records against Virginia.

Batavia's lost 4 straight. Philly's won 7 of 9. I'm gonna end up being in the wild card race!

We aren't as good as our record. Philly is better than theirs. I think it will be a fight.

Can't we have peace and harmony on the holiest day of the year.

                        What did we learn today?

The IL makes REALLY good Manager's Picks (see game MVP)

In another story, happy to steal a series win despite the ASG screwing me. Pancho only threw 49 pitches in Game 1 because he wasn't on full rest. Meanwhile, Morgan got shook after 37 pitches the next day. Got aggressive to get them an extra start. Oh well... won both of those games and like to get wins in the mini-mart of B'more.

                            Ok, Lou.

As an entire staff, your pitching rivals anyone in the league and frankly, I'm not really too afraid of Philly's offense. It doesn't help that they play in that gimongous park. Washington is the only one that needs to worry about Philly right now. Hell, Washington needs to worry about Wilmington first. Too many H2H games.

The playoffs are a different story though. If Philly makes it to the playoffs then everyone should worry.
