    ***

A lot of good candidates this year. Pat and I decided that we wanted to make sure all IL teams were represented (and actually do it this time). We had a tough time on the 28th man for the roster. It came down to Doug Miles, Tad Crossman and Marv Bowers. In the end, we took Bowers for two reasons. #1 - We didn't need another Pitcher and wanted a position player and #2 - we added a second Bat to the roster as a perk from the Co-Manager. Won't pretend we couldn't have found a different guy (Coronel for example)... but we did what we did.

    Feel free to lambaste.
    The Great One!

Hector Gonzalez being named to the squad is an outrage! An utter travesty! I mean he's certainly deserving of the honor, but come on, he didn't even receive a single vote! How did this happen?

So there are 28 on the team? Did all the "Next 2" make it?

He wasn't on the ballot to get a vote, but we felt he was the most deserving backup Catcher.

Yes. It's spelled out in the first post. I grouped them by the AUTO picks.

Very pleased with Eddie Resendez this year. With the loss of Kit Kat we put him into the closer role and as a rookie he's been dominant even exceeding his minor league numbers. If only Mills was healthy as well our pen would be dominant.

Angelo Gonzales has quietly become the most valuable pitcher on our staff. Dude does it all. Currently working on a long term deal for him.

Curt Wells is finally coming into his own as he's also #15 on the top players list. We drafted him as a best available player and couldn't be more pleased with his growth after some bumps in the road.
