In case there is any confusion here, the outfielder, Ivan Garcia, Skerik signed is the 2nd worst hitter in baseball, by 1995 OPS with over 50 at bats.

Eddie O'Fallon has a .920 OPS and is on pace for 32 HRs and 111 RBI.

Oh, and Marlon Dixon leads all BLB CF in defensive efficieny.
Eddie O'Fallon's last season was 1990, genius. If you're talking about Ron O'Fallon, I'm not sure why this is worth crowing about as it's one of those quirky seasons that seem to come out of nowhere in OOTP, along with Freddie Thompson being amazing for Pawtucket now after posting an ERA over 8 for my team in 1993. It's dumb to jump up and down and "gloat" about things like that happening because there's no way to foretell them and it's not like you saw something that nobody else did - it's just dumb stupid luck. Otherwise I'm sure there would have been a huge bidding war for O'Fallon this past offseason and he would have been signed for way more than a mere $7M if everyone knew he was going to be a .920 OPS player this season after a career .750 OPS in 9 BLB seasons. But as you well know, this season is a total anomaly and came out of the blue.

This would be like me laughing about Abbott's 5-year, $82M contract extension in the face of him OPSing .708 so far this season with 0 HR and only 12 XBH in 43 games with a -3.2 zone rating at 3B. But that would be dumb to laugh about because it was impossible to see that coming after so many solid seasons in a row from him.

Sorry about the Ron/Eddie mix-up. I've been BLB'ng so much over the years, some of the names get mixed up. I guess if I quit the league every once in awhile my mind would be fresher.

Robert Abbotts slump was expected. Almost every D.C. batter hits a wall during their expected 'prime years'. Nago, MAP, Sierra, both Abbotts, etc. It's just a big red button Clay hits when they sign a large extension.

Before you do anything that drastic, you may also want to try dialing it back a notch on the weed scale from "Cheech and Chong" level to "Snoop Dogg" level. I've heard that helps clear the old mind a bit as well.

If we go 4-2 prior to the break we hit .500. Not bad for my first season. That is with Underwood and without Tyler McClouth. Wow
