    NEXT SIM: Wednesday - Files @ 2p

    ***

OK... Draft is in. Thanks for your patience.

Let me know if I screwed anything up.

Rosters in Single A are 40 right now. I'm going to leave them there until Friday's SIM, so you have two exports to get down to 25.

We'll run an image pack next SIM and I'll give you guys the annual "Fix My Draftee's Picture/Nationality"

Anyway.... God Speed.... my eyes hurt.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

Just pointing out that Shavermetrics was the first one in on Davenport. I bought low and it's paying off.

5-2 in the interdivsion sim. Hartford has had my number this season but I was able to take 2 of 3 with the only loss being 1-0 in the 11th. Had some great pitching this week from my starters. Fitz went 9 inn. giving up 6 hits and 0 runs. Carrillo went 9 inn. and gave up 2 hits with 0 runs. Kane went 7.0 innings giving up 7 hits and 2 runs. In the game we lost 1-0 Fitz gave us 9 inn with 3 hits and zero runs.

We also had some hot bats this week scoring 23 and 15 in back to back games against Maine and Hartford. O'Fallon was named the batter of the week goin 15-22 with 3 dingers and 13 ribbies. Negron is on fire hitting .500 in the last two weeks with 4 bombs and 17 RBI. Gremades is also hot over the last two weeks hitting .440 with 4 HR's and 14 RBI. Not all good though in Pitt as we are very thin in the outfield and getting thinner having lost two CF in the last 3 simms. Both out for 5+ weeks levaing us with only two true outfielders on the active roster. No DH this week as we fly cross county to California and then back to Philly to play ever competitive Porter Division.

I wonder if my team can get the #1 pick? It's worth a shot, I guess.

Blew leads in all 4 losses to WC and Davenport. I'd say the saving grace is it's the Bock, but I'm not sure that the Bock plays down to the competition this year.

Baltimore Bulldogs: 4-3 (25-33, 10 GB in Porter, 4 GB in WC)

A potential 6-1 week in division play is given away following consecutive 1-run, extra inning losses to Batavia. We then proceed to sweep California and go 2-1 against Philly. I don't think I've been so happy to see a winning week.

                          The Good

-Slow Starters: Following an abysmal start to the season, Baltimore first baseman, Don Castor, went on huge tear last sim. He hit .462 with 5 homeruns and 18 RBI in one week of play. Castor now has 17 of Baltimore's 43 home runs which is just under 40% of the teams' home run total. Baltimore catcher and third baseman, Kyoden Kubota, has also picked up the pace hitting .444 for the week with a .516 OBP. Kubota leads the entire league with a .483 OBP and 59 walks so far this season.

-Chicks Dig the Long Ball: Baltimore pitcher, Donnie Greene, helped himself to a win in his return after spending just under a month on the DL. The Mexican star powered a solo shot into the stands off Philly starter, Robby Sears and although it was in Phillips Field, it was measured to go 375 ft.

                          The Bad
                          -Moving to the Pen:
I cannot take it anymore. Dani Salcido is moving to the 'pen for good. He is 0-7 with 6.00 ERA and 1.90 WHIP. His bread and butter should be K's but he's got more walks than strikeouts. He did well a couple of years ago when I moved him to the bullpen. He was lights out as a closer, lets hope he can do that again.

                          The Ugly
                          -The Whole Lot of 'Ya:
The IL is terrible. We have the 3rd worst record in all of baseball and are only 4 games out of the wildcard. I was going to make a trade to beef up our pitching a bit, but it looks like we might still have an outside chance. We could end up making the playoffs and having a top ten pick next year.

                          Up Next

Inter-league play for next week. We get the high flying Ale division, who's last place team is still 2 games over .500. Maine and Hartford come to town. I expect Sau and Hernandez to feast in Phillips Field.

                          Prediction: 2-4

                          - Playoffs: '92, '93, '97, '98, '99, '01, '03, '06, '08, '12, '13, '14, '15, '16

5 - 2; but only 1 - 2 against the Dukes. Still managed to put a game or two between us.

Already had 2 SEI's (one is likely a CEI); so I'm hoping OOTP is done screwing with me for this season. Although history clearly indicates if I continue to win, additional automatic equalizing injuries will occur.

Rookie SP Willie Harrison turned Caucasian on me; but who can argue with 7 - 3, 3.42/1.21/.226 ?
Rookie MR Abayghur Tulun discarded his uniform for street clothes; but with 9 BB & 46 K in 37 IP (2.19/0.92/.187) he has management's blessing.

And it looks like I may have a legitimate .300+ hitter in Rookie 3B Nesty Garcia. My Grandmother has more power at the plate, but he makes a nice place setter for Dickerson and Cavadas.
