As I said before if we had the money last year to keep Kirby and Sasaki then yes I believe we would be a contender. Because we didn't...we aren't. Just like real baseball we all know Virginia will win it all...again. If they don't then it will be exciting and "refreshing" for all of one week before we start over and figure out that Virginia will win it all next year...again.

On the trade front I loved Hamilton (I even wrote a story about the kid and his father who was in Vietnam)! I just figure that starting pitching is more valuable and it's hard to pass up a chance to get Gonzalez and Castre who are #6 and #10 on the Top Pitchers list now. Picked them up in '91 and have had 3 straight winning seasons and 2 playoff appearances. We'd do that trade again anytime.

i feel like the Tronto Blue Jays. Looks like year in and year out I will be looking for Wild Card births at this point.
Good News we are playing almost .500 ball, attendance is way up and I think I have the ship headed in the right direction.

Whatever. You have maybe the 3rd best starting rotation in the league and the best bullpen. You have a young and scary lineup. Its ok to say "yea, we're pretty f'n good."

What did we learn this week?

The Washington Bats are a fraud. Not only should they not be the Wildcard Leader, they are a bad, bad team. 10K's against Ismael Bernal? A 7-RBI game for an old man? This team is not of playoff caliber. It's an insult to the sanctity of the Import League that you're all letting them lead the Wildcard Race.

Windy City...

Philly...

Wilmington...

HELL... no one is really out of it yet.

It's a travesty that we're the only ones exposing this fraud.

True story... Savage memorized his matches before hand. Most wrestlers "call" their matches in the ring, working off the crowd and going from there. For whatever reason, Savage could not handle this... so all his matches were scripted before hand, spot for spot.

If we're going off straight wrestling, I think Steamboat is better because he could adapt on the fly to meet the energy level of the fans. If we're including skills like promo ability, look and charisma... then Savage, as a total wrestler, destroys Steamboat.

Just my opinion...
