The Clowns will have my number for now, as they should, but the Denver Boos are bringing their show to cities across the nation too.

6-1 week, our only loss a one run in xtra's to Carolina.

4 game sweep of the Bandits is the highlight as we move into first place. So far the moves we've made have paid off but there's a long way to go.

Washington Bats (14-5; best record in IL)

            3-0 @ Morgantown
            4-0 @ Wilmington

Seven-and-0 sim...because you can win 'em all? I'm surprised. My team is historically a much better home team than road but somehow we pulled of a sweep of the Stout tour. Plastic, Tom, this is for you guys...to share:

            THE GOOD

At this pace, closer Jerry Chase will finish the year with 60 saves. If you remember, he won the IL Last Call Relief award last season.

I may have found a diamond in the rough inNorm Winters. Passed over by almost every team in Free-Agency, Winters signed a one-year deal to prove his worth in Washington. My scout has always loved his ratings but he never really put it together in Pittsburgh. He has two consecutive starts....sign of things to come?

            THE BAD

Yes, even in an undefeated week there can be a BAD. This time, it falls on Robert Abbott. Dude is struggling in year one of his massive contract. I'm not surprised...

            THE UGLY
The week I go 7-0, Virginia goes 6-1. Of course.

            NEXT WEEK
            Two @ Virginia, two vs. Morgantown, three @ California...I'll say, 1-1, 1-1, 1-2, 3-4 sim.

It's always a fun season when your playoff hopes are over by the end of April.

              Good times, good times.

Reason why Washington and Virginia are always successful...

                1.) Money
                2.) Wilmington and Morgantown

Josh Poling hit his 1st HR of the season this week. It was his 2nd hit of the entire season. Seriously 2 hits in 48 ABs. I've never seen a player struggle that badly. Pitchers hit better than that. A lot better.

Danny Nelson hit his 1st HR too.....

...but it was only his 2nd AB on the season.
