    Wow, thanks Andrew.

0-3 against Wilmington, including two 1-run games. I now fall to 9.5 games back....translation...another season without playoffs.

      Huge SWEEP. :)

McNeilage has been outstanding his last 5 starts...after signing his extension. He's allowed only 6 earned runs, and has gone at least 7 innings each start. 11-4 on the season.

Moved Tojeira up to AA, and he batted .261. Will probably keep him there the rest of the season.

Ya, that was big. I called up Grounds to AAA, he did decent.

Took 2 of 3 from Syracuse and only lost a half a game on Maine, as opposed to the 8.5 I lost in the 2 sims prior to this one.

We took 3 of 4 from Baltimore which included great pitching performances from all of our starters.

Cafferty pitched well enough in his first start since joining the team although he got the ND (although he was in line for the win).

Someone (Sully) owes me a beer.

Playboys almost single handedly win us the all star game. Nice. Too bad Theodore didn't get to play.

Then we go on and split the next series.

Diesel tried to put theodore (and kirby) in but I screwed it up. I don't manage a lot of games so had no clue how to do a double switch. next thing I know, Kirby is in at P and Theodore at 1b so both had to be pulled before they got a chance to see some action. Kirby still got an AB but he was supposed to finish the game.

No biggie. At least my controversial pick got a hit!

BTW, Tobs go 15-1 in July? Not much you can do but watch. This team is either gonna have the greatest record in baseball history, or suffer a legendary slump.

Either way, nothing we can do but play our best. I'm a lot less likely to deadline deal now however.

Let's not crown the Tobs just yet. They're racking up the wins this month against the 3 worst teams in the IL.

Took 3 of 4 from Hyundai, and thanks to Maine beating Denver 3 of 4, we cut the lead to 6. The offense is slowly getting better, and the pitching continues to be amazing, despite having the two best relievers on the team, coming into the season, traded.

Watch out for Los Lunas, we're making a push to return to the playoffs for the first time since winning the inagural Brewmaster's Championship. (Ok, now I think I've jinxed it.)

It's so nice to have semi-dependable pitchers now. I really hadn't noticed, but Juan Boladeres has been pitching very well for me. After a 1-4 April with a 9.11 ERA, he's 6-3 with a 3.77 ERA since.

Well, that worked. Put the struggling Hildebrand in the leadoff role (a la JD Drew), and he responded with a near .500 series. My offense put up 11, 18, and 16 runs against lowly Pawtucket, outscoring them 45-15, and outhitting them 57-27. I'm sure I'll end up losing 7 games next week, but perhaps this new lineup will work out.
